Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria (15-0) is favored to retain his title and keep his unbeaten record in the latest UFC 308 odds. Topuria takes on former Featherweight champion and UFC legend Max Holloway this Saturday in Abu Dhabi.

The Featherweight title fight between Topuria and Holloway is the main event of an exciting 13-fight card. In this guide, I will discuss the current UFC betting odds at the top UFC sportsbooks and give my predictions for every main card fight.

UFC 308 Main Event Odds

Here are the latest UFC 308 odds for Topuria vs. Holloway, courtesy of BetUS Sportsbook.

FighterOddsOver/Under 4.5 Rounds
Max Holloway+195Over 4.5 rounds (+110)
Ilia Topuria-235Under 4.5 rounds (-140)

BetUS has Topuria listed as the -235 favorite heading into this title fight. They also have the main event fight listed at -140 to last under 4.5 rounds.

Topuria is the undefeated champion, and he won the title in a dominant fashion. He beat Alexander Volkanovski in the second round at UFC 298. In fairness to Volkanovski, the former champion had recently been knocked out after taking a short-notice fight against Islam Makhachev for the Lightweight title a few months prior.

Holloway, on the other hand, had been the class of the Featherweight division for nearly three years. He won the Interim Featherweight title at UFC 206 and then unified the belts with a TKO win over Jose Aldo at UFC 212. Holloway only has seven losses in his career, and three of them came against Volkanovski in their trio of Featherweight title fights.

Max Holloway (+195)

Only one man, Alexander Volkanovski, has beaten Max Holloway at Featherweight in the last decade. Holloway lost all three of his fights against Volkanovski. The only other man to beat Holloway in the last 10 years was Dustin Poirier when the two fought for the vacant Lightweight title at UFC 236.

Holloway can regain the Featherweight title, a championship he held for three years. To become the 145-pound king once again, though, Holloway will have to become the first person to defeat Ilia Topuria.

BetUS has Holloway listed at +195 to win the Featherweight title this weekend. Given Holloway’s age and their record against common opponents, it is easy to see why Hollow is the underdog. Holloway could not get past Volkanovski, a man Topuria knocked out inside two rounds.

On the other hand, Holloway has won four of his last five fights. The former champion has looked especially impressive in his previous two UFC appearances. Holloway knocked out Chan Sung Jung seconds into the third round in their fight last August, and his last-second Knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 won him the BMF belt.

Holloway still has knockout power and can strike with the best of them. If he is properly motivated, there is a real chance that Holloway will pull off the upset this weekend.

Ilia Topuria (-235)

The UFC 308 card will be the first PPV that Ilia Topuria main events as Featherweight champion. Secure sports betting sites have Topuria as a moderate favorite at -235 odds.

Topuria is a perfect 15-0 so far in professional MMA and is 7-0 in the UFC. The list of opponents Topuria has defeated since joining the promotion is impressive and includes the likes of Alexander Volkanovski (26-4), Bryce Mitchell (16-2), and Ryan Hall (9-2).

Volk was the Featherweight champion, and Mitchell was undefeated before facing Topuria. Adding to Topuria’s already stellar resume is his impressive finish rate. Only two of his 15 career wins have come via decision.

Topuria has five knockouts, eight submissions, and nine first-round wins in his career. The champion’s finishing ability will be tested this weekend, though, as Holloway has only been finished once, a submission loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 143.

The 5’11 Holloway will also have a size advantage over the 5’7 Topuria. Despite the height difference, though, both fighters have a 69-inch reach. A win over Holloway in his first title defense could signify that Topuria will continue the trend of long-reigning Featherweight champions.

Over/Under 4.5 Rounds

BetUS also offers exciting totals bets for the most anticipated matchups on the UFC 308 fight card. For instance, oddsmakers list the main event at over/under 4.5 total rounds. Topuria has only gone the distance twice in his career, while Holloway has relied on the judges in 18 of his 33 career fights.

Holloway has more experience in five-round fights, but he has to keep this fight out of the judges’ hands. Six of Holloway’s seven losses have come via decision.

Topuria vs. Holloway Predictions

The Featherweight title fight between Topuria and Holloway at UFC 308 has all the makings of a Fight of the Year contender. Both fighters are skilled strikers who can more than hold their own on the ground.

Despite his impressive performances recently, picking Holloway (+195) to win this fight is challenging. This should be a great matchup, but Topuria will prove too much for Holloway. Topuria will win this fight, and he will be the second person to stop Holloway in under 4.5 rounds.

  • Prediction: Ilia Topuria Wins in Under 4.5 Rounds -140

BetUS also offers competitive odds on the other 12 fights scheduled for this PPV event. Here are the UFC 308 betting odds for the four other main card bouts.

Shara Magomedov (-165) vs. Armen Petrosyan (+135)

The UFC 308 main card starts with an exciting Middleweight fight between Shara Magomedov (-165) and Armen Petrosyan (+135). Magomedov (14-0) is the slight favorite against Petrosyan in this fight. An impressive win this weekend could propel either fighter into the top 15 of the division.

Magomedov has knocked out 11 of his 14 opponents as a pro. Petrosyan, on the other hand, has lost two of his last four fights, and I think he will lose again this weekend to Magomedov.

  • Prediction: Shara Magomedov -165

Magomed Ankalaev (-360) vs. Aleksandar Rakic (+260)

Nest is a Light Heavyweight battle between Aleksandar Rakic (+260) and Magomed Ankalaev (-360). Ankalaev (19-1-1, 1 NC) is currently ranked second in the division and could earn a title shot with a win on Saturday. Rakic (14-4) is coming off back-to-back losses but is still the fifth-ranked Light Heavyweight.

Ankalaev is a heavy favorite in this matchup of top-five Light Heavyweights. These fighters have combined for 19 knockout wins in their careers, and this fight should showcase two of the best strikers in the division. Ultimately, I think Ankalaev will be victorious, setting up a title fight against Alex Pereira.

  • Prediction: Magomed Ankalaev -360

Lerone Murphy (-250) vs. Dan Ige (+200)

Two top-15 Featherweights will also square off this Saturday when #12 Lerone Murphy takes on #14 Dan Ige. Murphy (14-0-1) is the -250 favorite over Ige (18-8) heading into this fight. Ige is the more experienced fighter but has also dropped two of his last three fights.

Murphy will have the size and reach advantages in this fight, but Ige has the clear edge on the ground. I think Ige will be able to use his grappling skills to control this fight and earn the sixth submission win of his career.

  • Prediction: Dan Ige +200

Khamzat Chimaev (-240) vs. Robert Whittaker (+200)

The co-main event of UFC 308 will have significant title implications in the Middleweight division. Former Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (26-7) takes on the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev (13-0). Whittaker has quietly risen to third in the 185-pound rankings, and Chimaev is 12th.

Chimaev is the -240 favorite despite being the lower-ranked fighter. Whittaker has only lost three fights in the last decade, losing twice to Israel Adesanya and once to Dricus Du Plessis.

Both fighters are well-rounded and have combined for 26 total finishes in their careers. However, Chimaev has a better finishing rate, and he will have the size and reach advantages on Saturday. Chimaev will win this fight and should move into the Middleweight top 10.
