UFC 307 Betting Odds
The main event for the UFC 307 fight card is a Light Heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr. Here are the latest odds for this title fight, courtesy of BetOnline Sportsbook.
Fighter | UFC 307 Odds |
Alex Pereira (c) | -550 |
Khalil Rountree Jr. | +400 |
Pereira (11-2), the reigning Light Heavyweight Champion, is a -550 favorite ahead of his title defense this weekend. Rountree (13-5) is the +400 underdog heading into his first UFC championship fight.
So far, Pereira is 8-1 in the UFC, with his only loss coming in his rematch against Israel Adesanya at UFC 287. Five of Pereira’s last six fight shave been for a title, and he has won four of them.
Since moving to Light Heavyweight, Pereira has defeated Jan Blachowicz, Jamahal Hill, and has two wins over Jiri Prochazka. Only Blachowicz was able to make it past the second round against Pereira at 205, losing via split decision.
Rountree, on the other hand, has quietly won five fights in a row to earn his title opportunity this Saturday. He had lost three of four fights prior to his current winning streak but has looked much better as of late. Rountree has been with the UFC since 2016, when he appeared on season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter, and this is his first title fight in the promotion.
Pereira will be a huge step up in competition for Rountree. The Champion has unquestioned knockout power and has height and reach advantages over Rountree.
Co-Main and Undercard Odds
Before Pereira and Rountree face off for the Light Heavyweight title, there will be 11 other fights on this action-packed UFC 307 card. Here are the latest UFC betting odds for the four other main card fights at this event.
Favorite | Underdog | Weight Class |
Raquel Pennington (c) (-180) | Julianna Pena (+155) | Women’s Bantamweight |
Mario Bautista (-165) | Jose Aldo (+145) | Bantamweight |
Kayla Harrison (-800) | Ketlen Vieira (+575) | Women’s Bantamweight |
Kevin Holland (-170) | Roman Dolidze (+145) | Middleweight |
The co-main event is a Women’s Bantamweight title fight between Raquel Pennington (c) and Julianna Pena. Also, Mario Bautista takes on MMA legend Jose Aldo, Kayla Harrison looks to continue her exciting MMA start against Ketlen Vieira, and UFC veteran Kevin Holland takes on Roman Dolidze.
Before the exciting main card of this PPV, there are seven fights scheduled for the UFC 307 prelims card. The prelims are headlined by a Women’s Strawweight fight between Iasmin Lucindo (-175) and Marina Rodriguez (+150).
Expert Predictions for UFC 307
UFC 307 will feature a dozen exciting fights, including a five-fight main card on PPV. Here are my predictions for every fight on the main card for this event.
Kevin Holland (-170) vs. Roman Dolidze (+145)
The main card opens with a Middleweight fight between Kevin Holland (-170) and Roman Dolidze (+145). Holland (26-11) is a UFC veteran with 22 finishes in his professional career. Dolidze (13-3), on the other hand, has 10 finishes in his career, including seven by knockout.
Both fighters are 1-2 in their last three fights and need a win on Saturday so steady their ships. Holland is the favorite and will have a five-inch reach advantage in this fight. However, I think Dolidze, who is returning to Middleweight for this fight, will overcome his reach disadvantage and secure the upset win this weekend.
- Prediction: Roman Dolidze +145
Kayla Harrison (-800) vs. Ketlen Vieira (+575)
Kayla Harrison (-800) is one of the heaviest favorites on the UFC 307 card. She is scheduled to take on Ketlen Vieira (+575) at Bantamweight on Saturday. Harrison (17-1) is currently number three in the UFC rankings for the Women’s Bantamweight division and could secure a title shot with a win over #2 Vieira.
Vieira (14-3) is a great fighter, but I think she will be outmatched against Harrison on Saturday. Harrison submitted women’s combat sports legend Holly Holm in her debut at UFC 300, and I think she will earn her second UFC win this weekend.
- Prediction: Kayla Harrison -800
Mario Bautista (-165) vs. Jose Aldo (+145)
Another exciting Bantamweight fight scheduled for UFC 307 is Mario Bautista (-165) vs. Jose Aldo (+145). Aldo (32-8) is a legend of the sport and has the clear experience advantage over Bautista (14-2). He is also 7-7 in his last 14 fights after starting his career 25-1 and has not finished an opponent since February 2019. .
Bautista has won six straight fights heading into UFC 307, including three by submission. He has six submission wins and three knockouts in his career and is undefeated in fights decided by the judges. I think Bautista adds another win this weekend, which should be enough to propel him into the top 10 in the division.
- Prediction: Mario Bautista -165
Raquel Pennington (c) (-180) vs. Julianna Pena (+155)
The co-main event at UFC 307 is a fight for the Women’s Bantamweight title. Raquel Pennington (c) will attempt to defend her title against Julianna Pena. Pennington is the -180 favorite in this fight.
Pennington beat Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC 297 to win the belt and is currently riding a six-fight winning streak. Pena, on the other hand, is making her first appearance since losing the belt to Amanda Nunes in their rematch at UFC 277. I think the rust will cost Pena this weekend, and Pennington will retain her belt on Saturday.
- Prediction: Raquel Pennington (c) -180
Alex Pereira (c) (-550) vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. (+400)
Pereira is a heavy favorite to retain his Light Heavyweight championship in the main event against Rountree Jr. The champion has largely looked unstoppable in his recent appearances, and I think he will secure another win this weekend.
Rountree has won five straight fights, but his opponents include the likes of Anthony Smith and Dustin Jacoby. Pereira is simply too much of a step up in competition for Rountree. Anything can happen once the bell rings, but I think Pereira will leave Utah with another dominant victory on his resume.
- Prediction: Alex Pereira (c) -550
Dark Horses and Potential Upsets
Here are three underdogs to watch at UFC 307 this Saturday.
Kayla Harrison vs. Ketlen Vieira (+575)
Vieira is the second-ranked fighter in the Women’s Bantamweight division, but she is a massive underdog this weekend. My logic here is simple: Vieira’s talent and success in the UFC make her +575 odds too good to pass up if you are looking to bet on an underdog at UFC 307.
Mario Bautista vs. Jose Aldo (+145)
Another underdog who could pull off the upset this weekend is Jose Aldo (+145). The veteran’s career hit a rough patch after his loss to Conor McGregor, but he is 4-1 in his last five fights. If Aldo’s career resurgence continues, he could upset Bautista on Saturday.
Raquel Pennington (c) vs. Julianna Pena (+155)
Last but not least, Julianna Pena (+155) should not be overlooked this weekend. Pena lost the rematch, but she did submit Amanda Nunes for the title at UFC 269. If Pena brings her A-game, she could shock the world again with a win over Pennington.
