The next UFC PPV is loaded with exciting fights, and you can bet on all of them with the updated UFC 302 odds. There are a dozen fights scheduled for the event, including a Lightweight title fight in the main event.

Continue reading to see the latest UFC 302 betting odds for the upcoming PPV. I will break down the odds for the best fights on this card, including the main event: Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier. Also, I will tell you how to bet on the UFC online using the top MMA sportsbooks.

Updated UFC 302 Odds

Islam Makhachev is a heavy favorite heading into his third UFC title defense. On paper, his upcoming fight with Dustin Poirier will be the toughest defense of his reign so far. Poirier is a true Lightweight, and both of Makhachev’s defenses so far came against then Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Check out the table below to see the latest UFC betting odds for this upcoming PPV main event title fight. The following odds are courtesy of Bovada Sportsbook.

FighterUFC 302 OddsTotal RoundsGoes the Distance
Islam Makhachev-550Over 2.5 (+125)Yes (+305)
Dustin Poirier+400Under 2.5 (-165)No (-460)

Makhachev is listed as the -550 favorite to retain his title. Poirier, on the other hand, is a +400 underdog to win the first undisputed title of his UFC career. Bovada has the fight favored to end in under 2.5 rounds (-165).

Makhachev vs. Poirier Pick

Islam Makhachev has the second-longest active reign in the UFC and is tied for the most title defense of any current champion at two. Both of his defenses came against Alexander Volkanovski. Volkanovski was the Featherweight champion at the time, and their second fight came on short notice.

Despite this, Makhachev (-550) is still a heavy favorite against Dustin Poirier (+400). Poirier is coming off an impressive knockout win against Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 299. However, he is also just 3-2 in his last five fights.

Poirier (30-8) has earned 23 finishes in his career, including 16 knockouts and seven submissions. Makhachev (25-1), on the other hand, has 11 submissions and five knockouts as a professional. The only loss of Makhachev’s career came via KO at UFC 192.

I believe that Makhachev’s grappling will be the deciding factor in this fight. Poirier can hold his own on the ground against most fighters, but he has struggled against true grappling artists like Charles Oliveira and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Makhachev should be able to have similar success on the ground and submit Poirier at UFC 302. However, I will give Poirier the benefit of the doubt that he can last until at least round three like he did with Oliveira and Nurmagomedov.

Prediction: Islam Makhachev wins (-550) in over 2.5 rounds (+125)

Other UFC 302 Odds

The main event should be a showcase of the two of the best active fighters in the Lightweight division. Makhachev vs. Poirier is not the only exciting fight on this card, though. Check out the table below for the latest UFC betting odds on five other highly anticipated fights scheduled for this PPV event.

FavoriteUnderdogWeight Class
Andre Lima (-220)Nyamjargal Tumendemberel (+180)Flyweight
Jake Matthews (-155)Philip Rowe (+130)Welterweight
Randy Brown (-145)Elizeu Zaleski (+120)Welterweight
Jailton Almeida (-300)Alexander Romanov (+240)Heavyweight
Sean Strickland (-210)Paulo Costa (+170)Middleweight

Andre Lima (-220) vs. Nyamjargal Tumendemberel (+180)

One of the most exciting fights scheduled for the UFC 302 prelims is the Flyweight fight between Andre Lime (8-0) and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel (8-0). Both fighters are undefeated in their professional careers, and sports betting sites have Lima as the -220 favorite.

Lima and Tumendemberel are just starting their careers in the octagon. Tumendemberel is making his UFC debut, and Lima is making his second appearance in the promotion. Lima is the more talented striker, but I think his 3.5-inch reach disadvantage will cost him in this fight.

Prediction: Nyamjargal Tumendemberel (+180)

Jake Matthews (-155) vs. Philip Rowe (+130)

Another highly anticipated prelim fight is the Welterweight bout pitting Jake Matthews (-155) vs. Philip Rowe (+130). Matthews (19-7) has nearly double the professional experience as Rowe (10-4) and is the -155 favorite.

Rowe and Matthew are both coming off a loss and need a win to get back on track. Matthew’s grappling could help him overcome the massive reach disparity in this fight. However, I think Rowe will beat Matthews in this Welterweight fight.

Prediction: Philip Rowe (+130)

Randy Brown (-145) vs. Elizeu Zaleski (+120)

The main card is full of exciting action as well, including an opening bout between Randy Brown (18-5) and Elizeu Zaleski (24-7-1). This is Brown’s second fight of the year after he beat Muslim Salikhov in February. Zaleski is 2-0-1 in his recent appearances after his last fight ended in a draw, and his last loss came against Salikhov in July 2020.

Brown (-145) is the slight favorite and will have size and reach advantages in this fight. He is the more well-rounded fighter, and, as long as he avoids a pure striking contest, Brown should get his hand raised at the end of this one.

Prediction: Randy Brown (-145)

Jailton Almeida (-300) vs. Alexander Romanov (+240)

Jailton Almeida and Alexander Romanov are also scheduled to square off at this PPV. Almeida is a -300 favorite in the latest UFC 302 odds for this Heavyweight fight despite losing in his last appearance. Romanov (17-2) has also had a rough go of this lately, losing two of his last three fights.

Almeida has the size advantage, but both fighters are accomplished grapplers, so this fight could be settled on the ground. Neither fighter has ever been submitted in the pros, and I believe that Almeida will win via decision in this fight.

Prediction: Jailton Almeida (-300)

Sean Strickland (-210) vs. Paulo Costa (+170)

The co-main event pits two top-10 Middleweights against each other. Former Middleweight champion Sean Strickland (-210) is the favorite ahead of his fight with seventh-ranked Paulo Costa (+170). Both fighters are coming off a loss, and Costa is just 1-3 in his last four fights.

Despite only recently losing the belt and being the top-ranked contender, Strickland needs a win to get back into true title contention. Costa’s best days are behind him, and he should be a relatively easy opponent for Strickland. I think Strickland wins this fight fairly easily to set up a rematch with Dricus Du Plessis for the belt.

Prediction: Sean Strickland (-210)
