Trump Indictment Odds: Will Trump Go To Jail?
The 45th President of the US faces several uphill legal battles, and the latest Trump indictment odds are not in the Donald’s favor. It was announced last week that the former President was indicted on more than three dozen charges related to mishandling classified documents.
Thanks to the best political betting sites, you can wager on the future of Trump and his legal battles. Political sportsbooks have betting markets available for everything from pardons to jail time for the ex-POTUS.
Keep reading to see how you can bet on Trump’s current and potential future indictments. I will also tell you where to find the best betting odds for these political betting markets, so you can get the most out of your wagers.
Why Was Donald Trump Indicted Again?
In March, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced that Trump was indicted on charges of allegedly falsifying business records in the Empire State. In total, the New York indictment included 34 felony charges against the former President.
Last week, Trump was indicted once again. This time, Trump has been charged with mishandling classified documents after leaving the White House. The 45th President faces 37 charges in the latest indictment.
Trump’s case in New York is still ongoing, too. He is also being investigated on different charges – such as the January 6th insurrection – and could face even more legal hurdles in the future.
Can You Bet on the Latest Trump Indictment Odds?
Sports betting sites allow you to wager on a ton of different political events. Top political sportsbooks, such as Bovada, even allow you to wager on the latest Trump indictment odds.
Political betting markets work the same way as traditional sports wagers. The only difference is you are betting on the future of elections and political figures instead of sports teams. You can make a variety of bets, too, including prop wagers, futures bets, and more.
Will Trump Go to Jail for His Recent Indictments?
One of the biggest questions for many politically-minded Americans is whether Donald Trump will go to jail. The 45th President has been indicted in two separate cases this year alone and could face more charges in the future.
Bovada currently has these wagers available for Trump’s two indictments.
New York Campaign Finance Case
- Trump accepts a plea bargain (+500)
- Trump does not accept a plea bargain (-900)
At the end of March, Donald Trump was indicted on dozens of charges stemming from his alleged mishandling of business funds. According to prosecutors, Trump used “hush money” to pay off adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

The payments themselves may or may not have been illegal, but Trump also allegedly wrote off the payments as legal expenses of his business. If convicted, the former President could face decades in prison in the Empire State.
Despite the indictment, Bovada oddsmakers do not see Trump accepting a plea bargain (+500). If he did, the former President could potentially avoid jail time.
I agree with the oddsmakers on this one. Accepting a plea deal would likely require Trump to admit fault in the case, and that would go against his M.O. I would bet against Trump accepting a plea deal (-900) in his New York indictment case.
Trump does not accept a plea bargain in his New York campaign finance case (-900)
Federal Documents Case
- Trump accepts a plea bargain (+500)
- Trump does not accept a plea bargain (-900)
You can also wager on whether Trump accepts a plea deal for his most recent indictment. The odds are the same, too, with Trump not accepting a plea bargain (-900) being the likely outcome.
The newest indictment is different from the one Trump faces in New York. First and foremost, this new set of charges is a result of Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents after he was President. Also, federal prosecutors are the ones charging the 45th President, and it appears that the case will be tried in Florida.
A trial in the Sunshine State could benefit Trump, who has made Florida his adopted home. Trump has largely remained popular in the red state, and a Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon, has been appointed to hear the case.
With that in mind, I would once again side with the oddsmakers for this bet. Even if Cannon is removed from the case, I still doubt that Trump would accept a plea bargain.
Trump does not accept a plea bargain in his federal documents case (-900)
Will Joe Biden Pardon Donald Trump?
- Yes (+600)
- No (-1200)
One of the many powers of any sitting President is the ability to pardon individuals convicted of federal crimes. So, in theory, Donald Trump could receive a pardon if he is convicted of any of the federal charges he has been indicted for.
There are two major roadblocks to this happening, though. First and foremost, the sitting President, Joe Biden, is a Democrat and unlikely to pardon Trump while he is still a political adversary. Biden is favored to win re-election in 2024, too, so unless a Republican can upset the incumbent, Trump’s chances of a pardon are slim.
This bet is specifically for Biden to pardon Trump, though, so even if a Republican wins in 2024, this bet would not cash. Also, Trump would have to accept responsibility for and be convicted of federal crimes to be eligible for a Presidential pardon. The former seems highly unlikely, so I would take the “no” (-1200) option in this bet.

Trump Indictment Prop Bet Odds
In addition to the bets above, Bovada has over a half dozen prop wagers available concerning Donald Trump’s recent legal issues. Here are my favorite prop bets for the latest Trump indictment odds. Keep in mind, for these prop bets, you can only wager on a “yes” outcome.
Will Trump be Convicted of a Felony and Serve Prison Time Before 2025?
- Yes (+160)
With dozens of charges levied against the former President in two indictments, it certainly seems like prison time could be a real possibility for Trump. If you think the 45th President will be convicted of and serve time for a felony before 2025, then this bet is for you.
Bill Barr: "It's a very detailed indictment, and it is very, very damning. This idea of presenting Trump as a victim here, a victim of a witch hunt is ridiculous…He's not a victim here. He was totally wrong." pic.twitter.com/xRwYChWZ5Q

There is no specific indictment listed for this bet, so a conviction on any of the felony charges Trump currently faces would work. But the deadline of 2025 would worry me with this bet. The US judicial system is designed to be a slow process.
Trump’s trial for his New York indictment, the one for mishandling campaign funds, is not scheduled until March 2024. A trial for the second indictment would likely be even later in the year. There are ways for Trump to delay both trials, so I do not see him serving jail time before 2025.
Trump will not be convicted and serve jail time before 2025
Donald Trump to Face Further Indictments?
- Yes, for the January 6th insurrection (-600)
- Yes, in connection to Trump Media or Truth Social (-600)
Bovada also has odds available for future indictments that Donald Trump could face. You can wager on Trump to be indicted in connection to the January 6th insurrection and for his social media company, Truth Social.
Both wagers are listed at -600, but of the two, I think an indictment related to January 6th is the more likely option. Trump is being investigated for both, though, and there is no specific deadline set for either wager.

Does the 2024 Presidential Elect Pardon Donald Trump?
- Yes (+125)
Bovada has tons of Trump indictment odds available, but the last bet I want to highlight is whether Trump could be pardoned. I touched on this above, but this wager could potentially go beyond Biden’s presidency.
Despite the desperate spin from Trump's allies, the evidence in this indictment is damning. NOT charging Trump would be to hold him to an entirely different standard of justice. We are a nation of laws, not people, and nobody is above the law. Not even a former president. pic.twitter.com/6txhbubyv3

Instead of being tied to Biden specifically, this market is linked to the future winner of the 2024 presidential election. That could be Biden, but it does not have to be for this wager to hit. Republicans are favored to win the presidency in 2024, and a member of the GOP would likely pardon Trump.
Trump is the first former President to be indicted. While he can still run in 2024, there are questions about whether he could actually pardon himself. Other Republican candidates, such as Ron DeSantis, could use the promise of a future pardon to win over Trump voters.
I do not think that the GOP will take back the White House in 2024, so I would not wager on this bet. But if you are backing Republicans in the next presidential election, then this could be a great bet for you to make.
Trump is not pardoned by the 2024 presidential election winner
Which Trump Indictment Odds Will You Bet On?
Former President Donald Trump faces dozens of new federal charges after he was indicted for the second time this year. My predictions for the former President’s legal battles can be found above. You can wager on the best Trump indictment odds using Bovada and other top political sportsbooks.
