NFL player prop bets are a cost-effective way to wager on your favorite NFL players throughout the entire season. These bets are very flexible, too, so you have a ton of betting options to choose from.

This free football betting guide will break down the best NFL player props for the 2024-2025 NFL season. I will tell you my favorite bets and give you my predictions for each wager.

Bovada Sportsbook provided the odds for these player props for the upcoming NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers Total Passing Yards

  • Over 3,600.5 yards (-115)
  • Under 3,600.5 yards (-115)

Aaron Rodgers will attempt to do the improbable this season. He is entering his second season with the New York Jets, with high expectations for Rodgers and company. Rodgers is 40 years old, though, and he is recovering from a torn Achilles.

The Jets have also not been to the playoffs since the 2010-2011 season, the same year that Rodgers won his only Super Bowl. Despite Rodgers and the team’s recent lack of success, fans and oddsmakers have lofty expectations.

Rodgers is listed at over/under 3,600.5 passing yards this season. He finished with zero passing yards last season and had 3,695 passing yards his last season in Green Bay.

I question Rodgers’ ability to stay healthy, even behind a revamped offensive line. He did not play during the preseason, and many of the additions to the offensive line are old and injury-prone. With that in mind, I will take the under on this NFL player prop bet on Rodgers’ total passing yards this season.

  • Prediction: Rodgers Under 3,600.5 Passing Yards -115

Josh Allen Total Rushing TDs

  • Over 9.5 rushing TDs (-115)
  • Under 9.5 rushing TDs (-115)

Another AFC East quarterback with Super Bowl hopes this season is Josh Allen. The Bills lost multiple starts on both sides of the ball this offense. As a result, Buffalo needs Allen to play at an MVP level throughout the season to have a chance at even making the playoffs.

Rushing is an important part of Allen’s game, and his size makes it difficult for defenders to bring him down. Bovada has Allen listed at over/under 9.5 rushing touchdowns this season.

Allen has 53 rushing touchdowns in his career, including a career-high 15 last season. Last year was the only time Allen has reached double-digit rushing touchdowns in the NFL, but he has had at least six rushing TDs every year of his career.

Wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis are gone, and Allen needs to build rapport with new targets. Building that chemistry can take time, so Allen must rely on his rushing ability, especially near the goal line. I think Allen can reach ten rushing touchdowns again this season and cover the over on this NFL player prop.

  • Prediction: Allen Over 9.5 Rushing TDs -115

Amon-Ra St. Brown Total Receiving Yards

  • Over 1,250.5 yards (-125)
  • Under 1,250.5 yards (-105)

Quarterbacks are not the only players involved in these season-long bets. Some of the best NFL player props involve star skill position players, such as Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. St. Brown signed a four-year, $120 million contract with Detroit earlier this offseason.

Last year was St. Brown’s best season in the NFL. He finished the regular season with 1,515 yards on 119 receptions and had ten receiving TDs. Secure sports betting sites have St. Brown listed at over/under 1,250.5 yards this season.

St. Brown was Jared Goff’s favorite target last year and will be a vital part of the Lions’ plans as they attempt another deep playoff run. He also has plenty to play for this season after the First Team All-Pro wide receiver was snubbed from the Pro Bowl last year.

Detroit has plenty of other young stars, such as TE Sam LaPorta and RB Jahmyr Gibbs. Both stood out as rookies last year, but they will also enter this season with injuries. The over on St. Brown’s total is a slight favorite at -125, but it still offers plenty of value and is worth betting on.

  • Prediction: St. Brown Over 1,250.5 Yards -125

Xavier Worthy Total Receiving Touchdowns

  • Over 4.5 receiving touchdowns (+100)
  • Under 4.5 receiving touchdowns (-130)

You can also bet on your favorite rookies using Bovada’s NFL player prop bets. For instance, the Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy, a wide receiver out of Texas, in the first round. Worthy set a new combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash, and he could play an important role in Kansas City’s attempt to win a third straight Super Bowl.

Worthy will have to compete with Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and RAshee Rice for snaps at wide receiver. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has also returned for another season. Worthy’s size could also make it challenging for him to hold up for an entire 17-game season.

On the bright side, Worthy will not need to play long to rack up touchdowns, thanks to his blazing speed. Bovada has Worthy listed at over/under 4.5 receiving touchdowns on the year, with the over being an even-money underdog.

We have seen what happens when you pair Mahomes with one of the fastest receivers in the NFL. Mahomes has also expressed frustration with the lack of explosiveness in Kansas City’s offense last year. I believe Mahomes and company will try to get Worthy involved early and often, allowing him to cover the over on this total receiving touchdowns prop wager.

  • Prediction: Worthy Over 4.5 Touchdowns +100

C.J. Stroud vs. Dak Prescott Total Passing TDs

  • C.J. Stroud (-115)
  • Dak Prescott (-115)

Bovada also has exciting head-to-head NFL player props for the upcoming season. For instance, you can bet on whether C.J. Stroud or Dak Prescott will have more total passing touchdowns this season. Both Texas-based quarterbacks are listed at -115 in this head-to-head prop.

Bovada has Prescott listed at over/under 29.5 passing touchdowns this year, with the under available as a slight favorite at -120. Stroud is listed at -27.5 passing touchdowns, with the over a -130 favorite. Prescott led the league last season with 36 passing touchdowns, while Stroud had 23 in his rookie season.

Stroud has less experience in the NFL, but he also has more weapons to work with. Houston traded for star wide receiver Stefon Diggs and RB Joe Mixon, who has 13 receiving touchdowns in his career.

Dak, on the other hand, will have to play with what is, on paper, a lackluster running game. On the bright side, his star wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb, signed a new contract. Dak is also in a contract year, and the lack of a strong running game could force the Cowboys to throw the ball more.

  • Prediction: Prescott -115

Derrick Henry vs. Christian McCaffrey Total Rushing TDs

  • Derrick Henry (-115)
  • Christian McCaffrey (-115)

Another head-to-head NFL player prop bet I like for this season is this total rushing touchdowns bet between Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey. Both running backs are amongst the best of their generation, but they are also closer to the ends of their respective careers than the beginning.

McCaffrey and the 49ers are attempting to avenge their Super Bowl loss from earlier this year. Henry hopes to be the missing piece for the Baltimore Ravens, who lost to the Chiefs at home last year in the AFC Championship Game.

On the one hand, Henry will have to compete with Lamar Jackson, arguably the best rushing quarterback in the league, for red zone carries. But on the other hand, McCaffrey is entering the season with a calf injury.

Henry leads McCaffrey in total career rushing touchdowns, 90 to 52. However, McCaffrey benefits from not playing with a rushing quarterback who will likely steal carries every game. Also, McCaffrey is coming off the best year of his career, finishing last season with 14 rushing touchdowns and a league-leading 1,459 rushing yards.

It is hard to bet against Henry, especially since he has had ten or more rushing touchdowns in each of the last six seasons. However, I believe McCaffrey will finish with more rushing scores this year.

  • Prediction: McCaffrey -115
