Super Bowl 58 Anthem Betting Odds

Betting on the National Anthem is a great way to kick off your Super Bowl prop bets for this year’s Big Game. The Chiefs and 49ers will meet in Super Bowl 58 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. You can wager on nearly every aspect of the game, including the pre-game festivities.

This year’s National Anthem will be performed by none other than Reba McEntire. There are plenty of Super Bowl props online for the country star’s rendition of the Anthem. This guide will break down the best anthem props and provide you with free betting predictions.

Super Bowl National Anthem Prop Bets

You can bet on the Super Bowl National Anthem in a variety of ways. Here are some of the best anthem props, with odds courtesy of BetUS Sportsbook.

Length of the National Anthem

  • Over 109.5 seconds (-115)
  • Under 109.5 seconds (-125)

One of the most common Super Bowl anthem props is the wager on the length of the performance. BetUS has the over/under for Reba’s set at 109.5 seconds. Reba has performed the National Anthem countless times over the years, so bettors have plenty of references for making their pick.

Chris Stapleton, who performed last year’s anthem, took over two minutes to sing the iconic song. His slow pace added a lot of time to his Anthem Performance.

However, McEntire has a history of performing the song in a much quicker fashion. She typically finishes in under a minute and a half, which would be only 90 seconds. This has been true throughout her career, dating back decades.

Even if Reba decides to stretch out her performance, she will still likely finish in under 109.5 seconds. I would take the under on this length of anthem totals wager.

Any Word Omitted/Forgotten During the Anthem?

  • Yes (+700)

Another popular bet every year for the National Anthem is whether the singer will forget or omit any word during their performance. We have seen some interesting renditions over the years, but the performers usually get all of the words right. Mistakes do happen, though, and you can bet on Reba to make a mistake at +700 payout odds.

Reba is one of the most experienced National Anthem singers that we have ever had at the Super Bowl. She has been performing the song for decades and could likely give a rendition without even practicing.

However, Reba is a professional, and I am sure she has already done plenty of walk-throughs of her performance. With that in mind, I think the chances of her making a mistake are slim to none.

Unfortunately, there is not on option to bet against Reba making a mistake. The +700 payout odds are enticing but not enough for me to seriously consider betting against a legend like Reba. I would stay away from this wager since I do not think that there will be a mistake during the National Anthem.

Prediction:

Reba does not forget or omit words during the National Anthem

Which Team Will Be Shown First During the Anthem?

  • Kansas City Chiefs player or staff (-125)
  • San Francisco 49ers player or staff (-115)

You can also bet on which team will be shown first during the Super Bowl National Anthem. The camera will switch from sideline to the other throughout the performance, showing players and staff from the Chiefs and 49ers. According to the top football betting sites, Kansas City players and staff are a slight favorite to be shown first.

The Chiefs are listed at -125 in this prop wager, while the 49ers have -115 payout odds. It is important to note that both players and staff members, such as the respective head coaches in this Super Bowl rematch, would satisfy this bet.

In theory, each team has a 50-50 shot of being shown first. For the last three years, though, the NFC team representative was shown first. The last time the AFC was shown first was back in Super Bowl 54, the first time the Chiefs took on the 49ers in the Big Game.

Given the recent history of NFC teams being shown first, I think it is the AFC’s turn to show up first. I would take the Chiefs players and staff (-125) in this wager.

Prediction:

Kansas City Chiefs player or staff is shown first (-125)

Super Bowl 58 Starting QB Shown First During Anthem

  • Patrick Mahomes (-165)
  • Brock Purdy (+120)

Sports betting sites also allow you to wager on specific players showing up before others. For example, you can wager on which starting QB will appear on camera first during the National Anthem. Chief’s QB Patrick Mahomes is listed at -165, making him a slight favorite over 49ers’ QB Brock Purdy (+120).

Mahomes and Purdy could both be the first players to appear for their respective teams. In fact, one of them could be the first player to appear on camera, period. The starting QBs are not usually the first people shown during the anthem, though.

The last starting QB to be the first player shown during the Super Bowl National Anthem was Nick Foles, who led the Eagles to victory in Super Bowl 52. If a Chiefs’ team member other than Mahomes is shown first, then that could increase Purdy’s chances of appearing first.

In recent years, Joe Burrow, Mahomes, and Jimmy Garoppolo all appeared first, even though the opposing QB’s team was shown first. I think the Chiefs will be shown first. So, I would take Purdy, the 49ers’ QB, to appear before Mahomes during the anthem on Super Bowl Sunday.

Prediction:

Brock Purdy is the first starting QB shown (+120)

Will Any Scoring Drive Take Less Time Than the National Anthem?

  • Yes (-260)
  • No (+170)

One of my favorite Super Bowl National Anthem prop bets to make very year is whether any scoring drive will be quicker than the anthem. Reba has a history of performing the song quickly, but these offenses can score quickly, too.

Any scoring drive, even a field goal or quick score via a turnover, would satisfy this wager. Even if Rebe finishes her anthem performance in just over a minute, I think that would be plenty of time for one of these teams to score.

As we have seen before. The Chiefs can score with just 13 seconds left on the clock if need be. Also, the 49ers have plenty of star players that are home-run threats. I would take the yes (-260) option in this prop wager.

Prediction:

A scoring drive will take less time than the National Anthem (-260)

Primary Color of Reba McEntire’s Hat

BetUS has a lot of Super Bowl 58 props to choose from, including the types and colors of clothes Reba will wear. For instance, here are the betting odds on the color of Reba’s hat on Super Bowl Sunday.

Hat Color Odds
Red +200
Brown +300
Black +300
Yellow +550
Gray +900
Orange +900
Pink +1200
Blue +1600
Green +2500

A red hat (+200) has the best odds of any color in this Super Bowl anthem props betting market. However, I do not think Reba will need a red hat to complete her outfit since she already has bright red hair.

Instead, I would take a chance on one of the colors with better payout odds. Reba is typically seen wearing a brown or black cowboy hat when she dons headwear during her performances. Both options are listed at +300, so there is no value difference in their payout odds.

Between the two, I think that Reba will choose to wear a brown hat at Super Bowl 58, If I had to take a flyer on a long shot, I would take blue (+1600) since it is not one of the primary colors of either team.

Prediction:

Reba will wear a brown hat (+300)

Head Coach Shown First During the National Anthem

  • Andy Reid (-140)
  • Kyle Shanahan (+100)

Rounding out my list of the best Super Bowl prop bets is this wager for which head coach will be shown first. Andy Reid (-140) is a slight favorite as he leads the Chiefs against Kyle Shanahan (+100) and the 49ers.

When these two teams met in Super Bowl 54, Reid was one of the first people shown as the camera panned to the Chiefs sideline first. Shanahan, on the other hand, did not appear until roughly halfway through Demi Lovato’s anthem performance.

I think the Chiefs will be shown first, and coaches have a history of being shown early in the performance. So, I would side with Andy Reid (-140) in this prop wager.
