NFL Game on the Left and Thanksgiving Dinner On the Right

Wagering on NFL player props for Thanksgiving allows you to take your Turkey Day celebrations to the next level. The three traditional Thanksgiving Day NFL games offer a trio of exciting matchups.

The NFL is making history this season by also having a game player on Black Friday. You can bet on the NFL online and wager on all four of these holiday games. Keep reading to see my picks for the best player props for the upcoming holiday games this week.

The Best Thanksgiving Player Props for 2023

This year’s Thanksgiving Day NFL games are all divisional matchups. The schedule for this year’s games is as follows:

  • Green Bay Packers (4-6) at Detroit Lions (8-2) at 12:30 p.m. Eastern
  • Washington Commanders (4-7) at Dallas Cowboys (7-3) at 4:30 p.m. Eastern
  • San Francisco 49ers (7-3) at Seattle Seahawks (6-4) at 8:20 p.m. Eastern

Green Bay Packers Player Props

The Jordan Love era in Green Bay has had a rocky start. Love and the Packers can silence a lot of doubters with an upset win over the Lions this Thanksgiving. Here is the NFL player props for Thanksgiving that I like for Green Bay, courtesy of Bovada Sportsbook.

Jordan Love Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+115)

Jordan Love is coming off of one of his best games of the season in the Packers’ win over the Chargers. He will need another good game for the Packers to have a chance this week.

Real money betting sites have Love listed at +115 to throw for two passing TDs this week. He will need to score without his best player, too, as starting RB Aaron Jones will likely miss the game. If Love can step up his game, he should be able to cover the over in this total passing TDs prop.

Prediction:

Jordan Love over 1.5 passing TDs (+115)

Detroit Lions Player Props

For the first time in a long time, people are excited to watch the Lions on Thanksgiving. Detroit completed a comeback last week over the Bears to improve to 8-2. Here are the player props I like the most for the Lions this week.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime TD Scorer (+110)

A big part of the Lions’ success this season has been the player of WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He leads the team in receiving yards (898), receptions (73), and receiving TDs (5). St. Brown is averaging 99.8 receiving yards per game and has six 100 yard receiving games this season.

Football betting sites have St. Brown listed at +110 to score a TD this week. He has scored in back-to-back games, and I think he gets the hat trick this week.

Prediction:

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime TD scorer (+110)

Jared Goff Over 0.5 Interceptions (-104)

The Lions won last week despite a bad game from QB Jared Goff. Goff had one of his worst games of the year, throwing three picks against Chicago.

Goff should be better this week, but I doubt he will be perfect. Bovada has Goff listed at over/under 0.5 interceptions this week. I believe Goff and the offense will play better, but the Lions’ QB will still throw at least one pick this week.

Prediction:

Jared Goff over 0.5 interceptions (-104)

Washington Commanders Player Props

The second matchup on Thanksgiving is an NFC East matchup between the Commanders and the Cowboys. Washington is in the middle of another lost season, but you can still win money with this NFL player prop for Thanksgiving.

Brian Robinson Anytime TD Scorer (+137)

Second-year RB Brian Robinson has been carrying Washington’s offense for the last two weeks. He has 288 scrimmage yards in the last two weeks, most of which have come through the air. However, he has just one TD, a receiving score, in the last two weeks.

I believe that will change against Dallas this weekend. The Cowboys defense is tough, but they can be beaten. Robinson just needs one receiving or rushing TD for this bet to hit and I believe he can do it.

Prediction:

Brian Robinson anytime TD scorer (+137)

Dallas Cowboys Player Props

On the other side of this NFC East matchup are the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas, per usual, beat up on a bad team last week in their 33-10 win over the Panthers. Here are the Thanksgiving NFL prop bets I like for the Cowboys this week.

Dak Prescott Over 264.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Despite the huge win, Dak Prescott did not have a great game statistically. He completed 25 passes on 38 attempts but only racked up 189 yards. That ended a streak of four straight games with at least 279 passing yards.

I think Prescott will have a bounce-back game this week against a weak passing defense. Washington has allowed 2,844 passing yards this season, the second-most in the league. Prescott is listed at over/under 264.5 passing yards for this week, and I believe he will hit the over.

Prediction:

Dak Prescott over 264.5 passing yards (-115)

CeeDee Lamb Over 89.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

If Dak wants to have a big day, then he needs his receivers to step up. That starts with the Cowboys’ leading receiver, CeeDee Lamb.

Lamb is listed at over/under 89.5 receiving yards for this divisional matchup. Lamb had just 38 receiving yards last week, ending a streak of four straight games with at least 117 receiving yards. I believe Lamb will bounce back this week and have at least 90 yards through the air.

Prediction:

CeeDee Lamb over 89.5 receiving yards (-115)

San Francisco 49ers Player Props

The third and final NFC divisional matchup on Thanksgiving is the 49ers versus the Seahawks. San Fran has bounced back from its mid-season skid and is a 7-point favorite in this game.

Christian McCaffrey Over 112.5 Total Rushing and Receiving Yards (-115)

Christian McCaffrey has been the engine that moves the 49ers offense since he joined the team at last season’s trade deadline. He has a TD in every game except one as a 49er. McCaffrey is a weapon in both the rushing and passing game for San Fran.

CMC is listed at over/under 112.5 total rushing and passing yards for this week. Even on a short week, McCaffrey should see plenty of touches in this game. I believe he will have at least 113 yards from scrimmage and cover the over in this wager.

Prediction:

Christian McCaffrey over 112.5 total rushing and receiving yards (-115)

Seattle Seahawks Player Props

Seattle has a chance to take control of the NFC West this week if they can defeat San Francisco. That is easier said than done, but anything can happen in divisional matchups.

Zach Charbonnet Anytime TD Scorer (+150)

Second-year RB Kenneth Walker III left last week’s game with an oblique injury. That opened the door for rookie RB Zach Charbonnet to have a season-high 15 rush attempts. HE is still searching for his first TD in the NFL, though.

I believe Charbonnet could get his first TD this week against the 49ers. Walker will likely be limited at best, which means more carries for Charbonnet.

Prediction:

Zach Charbonnet anytime TD scorer (+150)

Black Friday NFL Player Prop Bets

There is also a game on Black Friday this year for the first time ever. Two AFC East teams will face off in this historic game. Miami will travel to New Jersey to take on the Jets for the first time this season.

Miami Dolphins Player Props

The Dolphins (7-3) have a 1.5-game lead in the AFC East. They are also 10-point favorites on the road this week against the Jets. Here are the player props I like the most for the Dolphins this week.

Tyreek Hill Anytime TD Scorer (-139)

WR Tyreek Hill is still on pace for more than 2,000 receiving yards this season. He has 1,222 receiving yards and nine receiving TDs so far this year.

I believe that Hill will get to double-digit TDs this week with a score against the Jets. Hill is listed at -139 to find the endzone on Black Friday. Passing yards could be hard to come by, but Hill can break any catch for a TD.

Prediction:

Tyreek Hill anytime TD scorer (-139)

New York Jets Player Props

The Jets are the other half of the first-ever Black Friday NFL game. New York is starting Tim Boyle at QB, for this historic gam.

Breece Hall Anytime TD Scorer (+150)

With Boyle under center, I doubt that any of the Jets receivers are in for a big day. However, RB Breece Hall should be in line for a healthy workload this week.

Hall is also the best bet for the Jets to score a TD this week. He is listed at +150 to find the endzone this week. I believe he can score, and I would bet on him with this Black Friday NFL prop bet.

Prediction:

Breece Hall anytime TD scorer (+150)

What Are Your Thanksgiving NFL Prop Bets Predictions?

There are four divisional matchups scheduled for this week’s holiday games. The NFC is taking center stage on Thanksgiving, but the AFC East will be featured in the first-ever NFL Black Friday game.
