EPL Best Bets for Week 4

The English Premier League returns this weekend following the international break. Accordingly, it’s time for me to share my EPL best bets for Week 4.

I have scoured the top soccer betting sites to track down the best EPL bets for this weekend. With a total of 10 matchups on the schedule, there is no shortage of exciting wagering opportunities to take advantage of.

Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest: Liverpool to Score Over 2.5 Goals (-120)

Liverpool has made a hugely impressive start to life under new manager Arne Slot. Not only have the Reds won each of their opening three games, but they have also achieved three shutouts, scoring seven goals in the process (2.3 goals per game).

Following 2-0 victories over Ipswich Town and Brentford, Liverpool humiliated Manchester United before the international break, crushing their arch-rivals 3-0 at Old Trafford. With that in mind, I can see Slot’s men making light work of Nottingham Forest.

Granted, Forest has made a solid start to the season, picking up one win and two draws to remain unbeaten. However, with attackers like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in red-hot form, Liverpool looks destined to score at least three goals on home soil.

Manchester City vs. Brentford: Manchester City to Win & Over 3.5 Goals (EVEN)

• Point Spread: Manchester City -2
• Point Total: Over/Under 3.5 Goals

Unsurprisingly, Manchester City sits atop the Premier League standings ahead of Week 4. The defending champions – who have won each of the previous four EPL titles – return from the international break on the back of three convincing victories.

After defeating Chelsea 2-0 on the opening weekend, Pep Guardiola’s side thrashed Ipswich 4-1 before beating West Ham United 3-1. Oh, and let’s not forget that the unstoppable Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick against Ipswich and West Ham!

It is worth noting that Brentford has secured two victories in three games this season. Still, Man City should possess more than enough attacking firepower to register another high-scoring win against the Bees.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Ipswich Town: Brighton & Hove Albion -2 (+170)

• Moneyline: Brighton & Hove Albion (-300) / Draw (+425) / Ipswich Town (+650)
• Point Spread: Brighton & Hove Albion -1.5
• Point Total: Over/Under 3.5 Goals

It would not be unfair to say that Ipswich has struggled since gaining promotion to the Premier League. The Tractor Boys suffered heavy defeats to Liverpool and Man City before finally picking up their first point on the season before the break, drawing 1-1 with Fulham.

On the flip side, Brighton & Hove Albion has already enjoyed plenty of success under new manager Fabian Hurzeler. Following victories over Everton (3-0) and Manchester United (2-1), the Seagulls drew 1-1 with Arsenal to extend their unbeaten start to the season.

Thanks to a 4-0 win against Crawley Town in the EFL Cup, Brighton has scored 10 goals this season (2.5 goals per game). For that reason, I expect Hurzeler’s men to defeat struggling Ipswich with ease at the Amex.

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals (-143)

• Moneyline: Bournemouth (+220) / Draw (+300) / Chelsea (-106)
• Point Spread: Chelsea -0.5
• Point Total: Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Bournemouth has seen both teams score in each of their three EPL matches this season. After playing out 1-1 draws with Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, the Cherries came from two goals down to beat Everton 3-2 before the break.

Chelsea has also been involved in several eventful games this season. The Blues endured a 2-0 loss against Man City on the opening weekend before hammering Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2. In their previous game, Enzo Maresca’s men recorded a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

While Bournemouth possesses a 100% BTTS ratio in 2024-25, Chelsea’s BTTS ratio stands at 67%. The Cherries have seen nine goals in their games (3 goals per game), with the Blues seeing 12 (4 goals per game). All the signs point towards a high-scoring thriller on the south coast.

Aston Villa vs. Everton: Aston Villa –1.5 (+138)

• Moneyline: Aston Villa (-211) / Draw (+350) / Everton (+500)
• Point Spread: Aston Villa -1.5
• Point Total: Over/Under 2.5 Goals

With three games in the books, Everton sits at the foot of the Premier League standings without a single point. The Toffees have suffered three heavy defeats this season, conceding 10 goals in the process (3.3 goals per game).

By contrast, Aston Villa sits on six points after three matches, following 2-1 victories over West Ham and Leicester City. Despite recording a 2-0 loss against Arsenal in Week 2, Unai Emery’s men will be confident of dispatching lowly Everton at Villa Park.

Let’s not forget that only Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal picked up more home points than Aston Villa in 2023-24. Emery’s men won 12 of their 19 games at Villa Park last season, scoring 48 goals (2.5 goals per game). With that in mind, I can see them heaping more misery on Everton.

Best EPL Week 4 Parlay Bets

My first parlay combines Liverpool and Manchester City. Since these are the only two teams with a 100% record this season, I’m confident that we can land a tasty profit here. We need Liverpool to score three or more goals against Forest, and we need Man City to win with at least four goals scored.

These selections create an attractive price of +267, meaning that a $100 wager would return $266.67. Liverpool and Man City have been the most impressive teams during the opening weeks of the season, so I expect their dominance to continue after the international break.

Brighton & Hove Albion -2 + Aston Villa -1.5

• Parlay Odds: +543

The second parlay I like is riskier, but the potential payout is extremely attractive. The Brighton -2 bet offers odds of +170, while the Aston Villa 1.5 wager is priced at +138. Combining those bets delivers juicy odds of +543, so you could win $542.60 if you wager $100.

This season, the Seagulls average 2.5 goals per game across all competitions. Better still, the Villains are playing against the Toffees, who are conceding at a rate of 3.3 goals per game in 2024-25. This may seem like a risky parlay, but there are plenty of stats and trends to back it up.
