Alabama Player Props
The Crimson Tide defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game. Stopping Georgia’s historic 29-game winning streak was enough to get Alabama into the CFP this season. Here are my picks and predictions for the best CFB player props for Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
Jalen Milroe Over 1.5 Total Passing TDs (+160)
Alabama is a two-point underdog heading into this matchup with Michigan. If the Tide want to pull off the upset, then they need another great game from QB Jalen Milroe.

Milroe has accounted for 35 total TDs in his first season starting for the Crimson Tide. Of those 35 total TDs, 23 have been passing touchdowns. Milroe has at least two passing TDs in nine of Alabama’s 12 games this season.
Bovada has Milroe listed at over/under 1.5 total passing TDs for Monday’s game against Michigan. He has thrown for at least two touchdowns in four straight games.
I believe the Milroe can keep his multiple TD streak alive in this game against the Wolverines. Michigan has a stout defense, but Alabama has had weeks to try and devise a game plan against it. I would take the over in this total passing TDs player props wager.
Jalen Milroe over 1.5 total passing TDs (+160)
Jalen Milroe Anytime TD Scorer (-139)
You can also wager on Milroe to be an anytime TD scorer in Monday’s Rose Bowl game. Football betting sites have Milroe listed at -139 to score against Michigan.
Unlike the wager above, none of Milroe’s passing TDs would satisfy the conditions for this wager. Only a rushing or receiving score would count toward this wager. Luckily, Milroe has 12 rushing TDS on the season.
Most of his rushing TDs came in a two-week span, though. Milroe scored seven total rushing TDs against Louisiana State and Kentucky in early November. Since then, he has gone three straight games without a rushing score.
Despite his recent scoring drought, I do think that Milroe as an anytime TD scorer is one of the best CFB player props. He has not been scoring lately, but he does have 35 rushing attempts in his last three appearances. Milroe’s rushing ability could be the difference-maker in this game, and I think he will score at least once.
Jalen Milroe anytime TD scorer (-139)
Jermaine Burton Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
As talented as Milroe is, he cannot beat Michigan all by himself. Bovada has great college football playoff odds for the other stars on Alabama’s offense, including WR Jermaine Burton. The Senior wide receiver is in his second year at Alabama after transferring from Georgia

Burton has put up a career-high 777 receiving yards this season. His eight receiving TDs this season are also a career-high for a single season. Burton’s 35 receptions so far this season are the second-most he has had in a season.
Bovada has Burton listed at over/under 49.5 receiving yards. Burton has at least 58 receiving yards in eight of his 12 games this season. The issue with Burton is that he does not get a lot of targets.
Burton has only caught more than four passes once this season, but he does not need a lot of targets to get to 50 receiving yards. For instance, he racked up 105 yards on three catches against Chattanooga. I think he can top 50 yards receiving again next week against Michigan.
Jermaine Burton over 49.5 receiving yards (-113)
Michigan Player Props
The Michigan Wolverines are set to make their third-straight CFP appearance. However, they are still searching for their first playoff win in the modern CFP. Here are my favorite CFB player props for the Wolverines in this season’s Rose Bowl.
J.J. McCarthy Under 185.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Michigan (13-0) faces a tough test this Monday against Alabama. For the Wolverines to win, they need a good game from their QB, J.J. McCarthy.
One of the few questions about the Wolverines as of late has been the health and play of McCarthy. He has thrown for fewer than 150 yards in four straight games. McCarthy threw for just 60 yards against Penn State, and the Wolverines ran the ball 32 straight times in the second half.
Sports betting sites have McCarthy listed at over/under 185.5 passing yards for this matchup against the Crimson Tide. McCarthy topped that mark in seven of the Wolverines’ first nine games.
Alabama’s defense has allowed just 188.8 passing yards per game this season, the 25th-fewest in the country. I think McCarthy will have a better game than we have seen from him lately. However, I would still take the under in this total passing yards prop wager.
Blake Corum TD Scorer Props
- Anytime TD Scorer -250
- 1 or more TDs (-201)
- At least 2 TDs (+250)
- 3 or more TDs (+1400)
Another Wolverine that will need to have a big game is RB Blake Corum. The Senior RB has been one the best red zone weapons in college football and has scored 24 TDs this season. He finished in the top ten for Heisman voting for the second straight season.

Corum has not been as effective between the 20s this season. He has just 1,028 rushing yards this year, compared to 1,463 yards last season. Luckily, you do not need Corum to rack up a ton of yards for any of the TD prop bets above.
Bovada has Corum listed at -250 to be an anytime TD scorer. However, his odds of scoring at least one TD are listed at -201. You can also bet on Corum to score at least two TDs (+250) or three or more TDs (+1400).
I would wager on Corum to have at least one TD in the Rose Bowl. You are betting on the same outcome as you would with the anytime TD bet, but you have better payout odds.
Blake Corum has at least 1 TD (-201)
Roman Wilson Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Rounding out my list of CFB player props for Michigan in the Rose Bowl is this total receiving yards prop for Roman Wilson. The talented Senior WR has had a career-high 662 receiving yards this season.
Wilson also leads the Wolverines in receiving yards this season. His over/under receiving yards total is only set at 39.5 yards, though. Wilson will need a good game from McCarthy to get to 40 or more receiving yards.
McCarthy’s struggles have hurt the production of his wide receivers. Wilson has just five catches for 73 yards in the last four games. Prior to that stretch, Wilson had at least 42 receiving yards in eight of Michigan’s first nine games of the season.
As I said above, I do think that McCarthy will have a better game on New Year’s Day than in his previous four outings. So, I would take the over on this receiving yards wager.
Roman Wilson has over 39.5 receiving yards (-114)
Best Rose Bowl CFB Player Props Parlay
Bovada had tons of college football playoff odds for this year’s bowl games. You can make your player prop wagers even more exciting by combining them into a parlay wager. If all of your bets hit, then you get rewarded with significantly improved payout odds.
Here is an example of a parlay you can place using some of the best CFB player props above.
- Jalen Milroe over 1.5 passing TDs (+160)
- Jermaine Burton over 49.5 receiving yards (-113)
- Blake Corum has at least one TD (-201)
- Parlay odds: +525
Two of the three legs in this parlay are favored. The only underdog that you are betting on is that Milroe will have over 1.5 passing TDs, and he has done that in four straight games. The payout odds for this three-leg parlay are set at +525.
