Best NFL Props for the 2024 Draft

Players to be Drafted in the 1st Round

One of my favorite NFL Draft props in 2024 is betting on specific players to be first-round picks. BetUS Sportsbook has odds on over 60 different prospects who could be drafted in the first round.

Some of my favorite players available in this NFL Draft prop include the following:

• Jordan Morgan (-160)
• Bo Nix (+160)
• Kingsley Suamataia (+140)
• Ladd McConkey (+150)
• Troy Franklin (+280)
• Keon Coleman (+475)

Arizona’s Jordan Morgan (-160) and BYU’s Kingsley Suamataia (+140) are two of the top offensive lineman prospects in a draft loaded with o-line talent. They have first-round talent but could fall into the second half of the opening round.

Likewise, Oregon’s Bo Nix (+160) should hear his name called on night one. Caleb Williams is a lock at number one, but Nix should go in the first round, too.  I believe he is going to Denver, but Las Vegas and Seattle could also be in the market for a QB like Nix.

The deepest position in the 2024 NFL Draft has to be wide receiver. Three first-round talents who are outside of the top five at the position include Ladd McConkey (+150), Troy Franklin (+280), and Keon Coleman (+475). If we see the run on WRs that is expected, then all three could be late first-round selections.

Total Players Drafter Per Conference

Football betting sites also let you wager on specific conferences. In years past, the SEC and Big 10 have dominated the first round. BetUS has total first-round selection odds for all five power conferences.

SEC

• Over 9.5 players (-220)
• Under 9.5 players (+180)

With stacked teams like Alabama and Georgia, it is no surprise that the SEC has the highest total players projected to be selected in round one. BetUS has the over/under set at 9.5 SEC players picked in the first round.

LSU alone has three players projected to go in the first round. QB Jayden Daniels, WR Malik Nabers, and WR Brian Thomas Jr. should all have new teams after Thursday night.

Georgia’s TE Brock Bowers and Alabama’s LB Dallas Turner should go in the first half of the opening round, too.  Unfortunately, Texas and Oklahoma do not yet count toward the SEC’s total. So, I would take the under at +180 odds for this wager.

ACC

• Over 4.5 players (+240)
• Under 4.5 players (-300)

Up next is the ACC, which is listed at over/under 4.5 players drafted in round one. Notable prospects from the ACC include QB Drake Maye, OT Graham Barton, DE Jared Verse, and CB Nate Wiggins.

All four of those players could go in the first round, but you would still need another ACC alum to be drafted for the over to hit. WR Keon Coleman from FSU could be that guy, especially with WR-needy teams at the end of the first round. At +240 odds, I think it is worth it to bet the over on this NFL draft prop.

Big 10

• Over 5.5 players (-145)
• Under 5.5 players (+115)

Michigan brought the National Championship back to the Big 10, but how will the conference fare in the first round of the 2024 Draft? Sportsbooks have the Big 10 listed at over/under 5.5 players being drafted in the first round.

Michigan could set a record for players picked in a single NFL Draft, starting with JJ McCarthy.

Many of the starters from Michigan’s championship team will be in the draft, but most do not have first-round grades. J.J. McCarthy and Marvin Harrison Jr. will likely go early, but it is challenging to find other no-doubt first-rounders. It will be close, but I think the Big 10 will cover the over for this bet.

Pac-12

• Over 7.5 players (+180)
• Under 7.5 players (-220)

The Pac-12 is dissolving, so this is the last time you can bet on the total number of NFL first-rounders coming out of the conference. Oddsmakers have the Pac-12 listed at over/under 7.5 total players drafted in the first round.

USC, Washington, and Oregon will have to carry the load for the Pac-12 in the first round. Day two should be full of Pac-12 alumni, but I would take the under of this first-round totals bet.

Big 12

• Over 3.5 (-155)
• Under 3.5 +125)

The Big 12 has the lowest total players market of any Power 5 conference. BetUS has the Big 12 listed at over/under 3.5 players drafted in the first round.

Texas alone could have three players drafted in Round 1, with Byron Murphy II, Xavier Worthy, and Adonai Mitchell all coming out. If that is the case, then only one other player from the conference would need to be picked in the first round. West Virginia’s Zach Frazier, Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton, and the aforementioned Kingsley Suamataia are all offensive linemen who could be first-round picks.

First Running Back Drafted

You can also wager on specific positions in the upcoming NFL Draft. For example, BetUS offering the following odds on the first RB to be drafted this year.

• Trey Benson (+160)
• Jonathan Brooks (+180)
• Jaylen Wright (+350)
• Blake Corum (+500)
• MarShawn Lloyd (+600)

It is unlikely that any RB will be drafted in the first round. However, a ton of talent at the position has been found in the second and third rounds in recent years.

Texas RB Jonathan Brooks (+180) would likely be the favorite if he did not tear his ACL in November. He still has the second-best odds, but he is behind FSU’s Trey Benson (+160). Benson is healthier and his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield should make it easier to fit him into modern schemes.

If any RB is picked in Round 1, it will likely be Brooks. But I doubt a team overdrafts an RB this year, so I will stick with Benson for this wager.

Draft Position by Player

Some of the best NFL props for the upcoming Draft are specific wagers on potential future stars. Some of the player props available include WR Brian Thomas Jr., QB J.J. McCarthy, and LB Dallas Turner.

WR Brian Thomas Jr.

• Over 17.5 (-165)
• Under 17.5 (+135)

Malik Nabers was the star WR at LSU last season and is a projected top-10 pick. His running mate, Brian Thomas Jr., is also a first-round receiver talent. Thomas Jr. should go in the first round, the only question is when.

Secure sportsbooks have Thomas Jr. listed at over/under 17.5 selections. He is arguably the fourth-best WR in the draft, but the first three should be drafted in the top 12 picks.

Indianapolis and Jacksonville hold the 16th and 17th picks, respectively. Both AFC South franchises could use a WR of Thomas Jr.’s talents, too. A team could also trade up to get him, so I would take the under on this proof or Thomas Jr.

QB J.J. McCarthy

• Over 5.5 (+120)
• Under 5.5 (-150)

J.J. McCarthy has benefited from the draft process more than any other QB. He has gone from a Day 2 pick to a top-five selection. McCarthy is listed at over/under 5.5 sections, and I would take the under.

LB Dallas Turner

• Over 9.5 (-135)
• Under 9.5 (+105)

Alabama LB Dallas Turner is listed at -150 to be the first defensive player drafted. His over/under is set at 9.5 selections, though. It is challenging to imagine no defenders going in the top 10, and teams like the Titans and Falcons could use Turner.
