2024 NFL Playoff Odds: Best Bets for Sunday’s Slate
Football bettors have three exciting games to bet on Sunday with the latest 2024 NFL playoff odds. The tripleheader includes one AFC matchup and two NFC playoff games. Sunday’s games are loaded with great storylines, too.
NFL playoff betting is a great way to make the postseason even more exciting. Betting on the right NFL playoffs odds can help you win a lot of money during Super Wild Card weekend, too.
Continue reading to see which NFL odds you should bet on for Sunday’s Wild Card games. I will break down the best bets from each Wild Card game and give you my predictions for each wager.
Best NFL Playoff Bets for Sunday
There are three games scheduled for Sunday, starting with the Steelers taking on the Bills (-10) in Buffalo. Then, Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys (-7.5) host McCarthy’s former team, the Packers. Finally, Matthew Stafford returns to Detroit for the first time as the Rams take on the Lions (-3).
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris 80+ Rushing Yards (+200)
The opening game of Sunday’s tripleheader is an AFC matchup between the Steelers and the Bills. Both teams had to fight for their spot in the playoffs down the stretch.
A big part of the Steelers’ success as of late was moving from Mitch Trubisky to Mason Rudolph at the QB position. The QB change also boosted the running game, and RB Najee Harris had back-to-back 100+ yard rushing games to end the season. They were the only two games that Harris topped 100 yards on the ground all year.
Buffalo has not allowed a 100+ yard rusher since its loss to the Jaguars in Week 5. However, the Bills have allowed 4.6 yards per carry this year, tied for the fifth-most in the NFL.
Harris is available in an alternate line bet at Bovada to have 80+ rushing yards with a +200 payout. He is also available at +500 to have 100+ yards on the ground. I think the Steelers will use a run-heavy attack. However, I would stick with the 80+ yards bet, given the Bills’ recent streak of not allowing 100-yard rushers.
Najee Harris 80+ rushing yards (+200)
Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen Over 38.5 Rushing Yards (-145)
The Bills are 10-point favorites at home this weekend. Buffalo hosted Pittsburgh last season and won 38-3, so it is easy to see why this line is so one-sided. The Steelers will also be without its star pass rusher, DPoY candidate T.J. Watt.

Pittsburgh should still be able to generate some pressure on Bills’ QB Josh Allen, though. Allen also gets plenty of designed runs throughout the game. Football betting sites have Allen listed at over/under 38.5 rushing yards for this contest.
I think Allen can cover the total in this rushing yards bet. He has had at least 40 rushing yards in back-to-back games. Allen had 42 rushing yards against the Steelers when they played last season.
The Steelers have allowed 4.3 yards per carry this year and nearly 2,000 total rushing yards. Their run defense is average at best and could be below average with all their injuries on the defensive side of the ball. I would take the over in this total rush yards bet.
Josh Allen over 38.5 rushing yards (-145)
Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love Over 0.5 Interceptions (-145)
The second game on Sunday is a matchup between the Packers and the Cowboys. These two teams have played many memorable playoff games over the years, including the Ice Bowl and the “Dez Caught It” game.

There is added drama this time around as the Packers face their former coach. Mike McCarthy. This will also be QB Jordan Love’s first experience in the playoffs as the Packers’ starter.
The Cowboys’ defense has been dominant at home this season. Dallas has forced 17 INTs this year, tied for the eighth-most in the NFL. Love is listed at -145 to throw an interception this Sunday against the Cowboys.
Green Bay’s QB has thrown just one interception in his last eight starts. However, most of the defenses he has faced over that stretch cannot hold a candle to how well the Cowboys play at home. So, I would take the over on this prop wager.
Jordan Love over 0.5 interceptions (-145)
Dallas Cowboys: DeMarcus Lawrence Over 0.5 Sacks (+250)
As I mentioned above, the Cowboys’ defense has been dominant at home. That is due in large part to the fact that players like DeMarcus Lawrence step up and take pressure off of stars like Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott.
Parsons is listed at -186 in the latest NFL playoffs odds to get a sack this weekend. Lawrence, on the other hand, is available at +250 to have over 0.5 sacks against the Packers this week. He has just four sacks this season, but I think that Lawrence can cover this Wild Card Weekend prop wager.
Lawrence’s four sacks are the fewest he had in a season where he played at least 10 games. Green Bay’s offense should be focused on stopping Parsons. In theory, this should allow Lawrence an easier path to secure a sack this weekend.
DeMarcus Lawrence over 0.5 sacks (+250)
LA Rams: Matthew Stafford 300+ Passing Yards and Rams +3.5 (+292)
The final game in Sunday’s Wild Card tripleheader is also filled with great storylines. Matt Stafford leads the Rams into Detroit to face his former team, the Lions. This is also the first playoff game at Ford Field.

Stafford is listed at +160 to have 300+ passing yards in his return to Detroit. The Rams are also three-point underdogs, but you can bet them at +3.5 using an alternate lines wager at -135 odds.
Bovada has special 2024 NFL playoffs markets for this game, too. For instance, you can combine the two bets above and get +292 odds. Stafford would have to throw for 300 or more passing yards, and the Rams would have to cover +3.5 to win this bet.
The extra half-point means that LA could lose by a field goal and cover. Stafford has thrown for at least 300 passing yards in five games this season, including his last two starts. I would take this special wager and bet on both Stafford and the Rams to cover.
Matthew Stafford has 300+ passing yards and Rams +3.5 (+292)
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff Over 0.5 Interceptions (+135)
Jared Goff has cemented his place in Lions history by leading Detroit to its first division title in 30 years. He can make history again this weekend if he leads the Lions to their first playoff since 1991.
Goff and the Lions are three-point favorites at home this weekend. Ina addition to normal playoff pressure, Goff’s first playoff game with Detroit comes against his former team, the LA Rams. The Rams drafted Goff with the first overall pick in 2016 but traded him to Detroit for Stafford in 2021.
This season, Goff’s turnovers have been one of the few issues for the Lion’s offense. He has 12 INTs, tied for the third-most that he has had in a season. Goff is listed at +135 to have over 0.5 INTs this weekend in the latest 2024 NFL playoff odds.
LA has forced just 10 INTs this season, tied for the ninth-fewest in the league. However, I think that they will force at least one INT this weekend, and I recommend taking the over in this prop wager.
Jared Goff over 0.5 interceptions (+135)
NFL Best Bets Sunday Wild Card Parlay
One of the best parts of betting with top sports betting sites like Bovada is that you have a lot of great betting tools at your fingertips. For instance, Bovada has a great parlay builder that is super easy to use.
You can easily combine all of your favorite 2024 NFL playoff odds into one bet using the parlay-building tool. Here is an example of a three-leg parlay that you can make using the bets I detailed above.
- Josh Allen over 38.5 rushing yards (-145)
- Jordan Love over 0.5 INTs (-145)
- Jared Goff over 0.5 INTs (+135)
- Parlay odds: +571
This QB-focused three-leg NFL Wild Card parlay includes two bets that are favored by the oddsmakers at Bovada. The one underdog is for Goff to throw a pick against his former team. If anyone knows how to force Goff into throwing an interception, it should be his former coach. Sean McVay.
