If the 2024-25 Premier League winner odds are anything to go by, Manchester City is on course to clinch a fifth straight title. Pep Guardiola’s team has dominated the competition in recent years, but Arsenal has closed the gap over the past two seasons.
With the new campaign set to kick off on Friday, August 16, it’s time to break down the latest Premier League title odds. We’ll be discussing the favorites, contenders, and dark horses before looking at the Premier League relegation odds.

Favorite Teams
Only two teams have lifted the Premier League trophy in the past seven years – Manchester City and Liverpool. That said, Arsenal has finished second in each of the previous two seasons. Unsurprisingly, those three teams are the bookies’ favorites to secure the silverware in 2024-25.
Manchester City (+110)
It’s hardly a shock to see Manchester City at the summit of the 2024-25 Premier League odds list. Not only have Guardiola’s men won each of the last four titles, but they have also won six of the previous seven.
This era of dominance has been painful for the division’s other top teams, with iconic clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea failing to halt Man City’s supremacy. Still, claiming a fifth consecutive title won’t be easy.
Erling Haaland will make it slightly easier, though. The prolific Norwegian striker has secured back-to-back Golden Boots since arriving in England, scoring a frightening 90 goals in 98 appearances across all competitions for City.
With world-class players such as Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, and John Stones also on board, the reigning champions will be confident of defending their crown.
Arsenal (+180)
There used to be a time when Arsenal was only mentioned when discussing the Premier League top 4 odds. However, the Gunners pushed Man City all the way in the past season, establishing themselves as genuine title contenders.
In 2022-23, Mikel Arteta’s men led the way for much of the campaign, only to finish five points behind City. Last season, Arsenal finished just two points shy of the champions after spending multiple weeks at the summit of the standings.
While the Gunners posted the division’s best defensive record last season – conceding only 29 goals in 38 games (0.8 goals per game) – they often lacked a cutting edge in attack. Of course, players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard offer consistent attacking returns, but Arsenal may need to sign a proven striker in order to outperform Man City.
Liverpool (+700)
Liverpool is the only team to have prevented Man City from winning the Premier League title in the past seven seasons. That said, the Reds’ triumph in 2019-20 feels like a long time ago.
Following nine successful years at the club, Jurgen Klopp left Anfield at the end of last season. The legendary German manager led Liverpool to eight trophies during his tenure, so it’s difficult to predict how the team will fare under the guidance of new manager Arne Slot.
Boasting elite-level players such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool has more than enough quality to challenge for the title. However, the Reds do not possess the same strength in depth as City.
Potential Contenders
The current Premier League winner odds favor Manchester City and Arsenal, with Liverpool also in the running. Still, there are a couple of potential contenders who will fancy their chances of upsetting the Premier League odds in 2024-25.
Chelsea (+1800)
Chelsea made a poor start to the previous campaign, winning just five of their opening 16 Premier League games. Although the Blues found themselves in the bottom half of the table in March, they managed to finish sixth after losing only one of their final 15 matches.
Despite the impressive turnaround, Mauricio Pochettino left Stamford Bridge at the end of last season. A lot is going on behind the scenes at Chelsea, with the club’s owners continuing to buy and sell players at an alarming rate. Now, Enzo Maresca will attempt to guide the Blues back to the top.
Cole Palmer was Chelsea’s standout performer last season, racking up 25 goals and 15 assists across all competitions. If the Blues are serious about challenging for the title, their other attackers will need to match Palmer’s output.
Manchester United (+2200)
Believe it or not, Manchester United has not lifted the Premier League trophy since 2012-13. The division’s most successful club has fallen by the wayside over the past decade, watching the other Manchester club take control.
Numerous managers have tried – and failed – to follow in the footsteps of Sir Alex Ferguson, who guided United to 13 Premier League titles in 21 seasons between 1992-93 and 2012-13. Entering his third campaign in the Old Trafford hot seat, Erik ten Hag will continue the fight this year.
Still, it remains to be seen whether Man Utd’s squad is strong enough to compete with the top teams. Let’s not forget that United finished eighth last season, 31 points behind Man City.
Dark Horses
Many believe that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur could be the dark horses in the forthcoming Premier League title race. Of course, their Premier League top 4 odds will be more realistic, but their Premier League title odds are very attractive.
Newcastle United (+2800)
Newcastle broke into the Champions League places in 2022-23 before finishing seventh last season, eight points outside the top four. Nevertheless, the club remains on an upward trajectory under the guidance of Eddie Howe.
Only Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool picked up more home points than Newcastle last season, with only the champions scoring more home goals. If the Magpies want to outperform the top teams, they will need to reproduce their home form on the road.
Tottenham Hotspur (+3300)
Last season, Ange Postecoglou provided the Tottenham fans with an exciting brand of attacking soccer. After winning eight of their opening 10 games, Spurs looked destined to challenge for the title, but they ended up finishing fifth.
Tottenham is blessed with numerous top-class attackers, including Heung-min Son, James Maddison, Richarlison, and Dejan Kulusevski. However, Postecoglou’s team must improve defensively if they want to get anywhere near the trophy in 2024-25.

Let’s take a closer look at the main relegation candidates.
Leicester City (-250)
Despite winning the Championship title last season, Leicester City is the bookies’ relegation favorite. Under Maresca, the Foxes racked up a whopping 97 points on their way to promotion, but the manager joined Chelsea shortly after.
Steve Cooper has been tasked with keeping Leicester in the Premier League. The highly-rated coach gained promotion with Nottingham Forest before avoiding relegation in 2022-23, but he was sacked midway through the previous campaign.
It is worth noting that Leicester made a mockery of the Premier League winner odds in 2015-16, clinching the title as a +500000 outsider. That said, nobody expects the Foxes to replicate that feat in 2024-25.
Ipswich Town (-138)
Ipswich Town are back in the Premier League for the first time since 2001-02, having secured back-to-back promotions. After notching 98 points en route to League One promotion, the Tractor Boys claimed the Championship’s runner-up spot with 96 points last season.
There is no hiding the fact that Ipswich has the smallest budget in the division, in addition to one of the weakest squads. However, the East Anglia outfit is managed by one of the country’s brightest young coaches. The question is: has Kieran McKenna got what it takes to keep Ipswich in the Premier League?
Southampton (+120)
Like Leicester, Southampton earned an immediate return to the Premier League following relegation in 2022-23. Despite finishing below Leicester and Ipswich last season, the Saints are the bookies’ third favorites to go down next year.
Southampton still possesses many of the players who suffered relegation, including Kyle Walker-Peters, Armel Bella-Kotchap, and Adam Armstrong. Having chalked up 21 goals and 13 assists in the Championship last season, Armstrong could hold the key to his team’s chances of survival.

If you’ve followed English soccer over the past few years, you won’t be surprised to see Manchester City at the top of the bookies’ Premier League winners odds list. After all, Guardiola’s side has dominated the competition in recent times, winning six of the previous seven titles.
Understandably, Man City is favored to clinch a fifth successive title, but it might not turn out that way. City’s dominance can’t last forever, so Arsenal, Liverpool, and the rest of the chasing pack will be hopeful of ending the hegemony.
