Updated Super Bowl 59 Odds and Predictions
The top of the Super Bowl odds boards has changed significantly recently. With time in the regular season running out, the playoff picture and the true title contenders are coming into focus.
This guide highlights the latest Super Bowl 59 odds from the best football betting sites. I will tell you the current Big Game odds for the top contenders in the AFC and NFC. Also, I break down each contender’s chances of making the Super Bowl this year in New Orleans.
The following conference title and Super Bowl odds were provided by Bovada Sportsbook.
AFC Championship Odds
- Buffalo Bills (+170)
- Kansas City Chiefs (+240)
- Baltimore Ravens (+380)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000)
- Houston Texans (+1200)
- Denver Broncos (+1800)
- Los Angeles Chargers (+1800)
Buffalo’s Week 15 matchup with Detroit was seen by many as a Super Bowl preview. The Bills won, and their odds of making the Big Game have improved significantly as a result. Josh Allen solidified himself as the MVP favorite, and Buffalo’s odds to win the AFC have shortened from +235 to +170.
Kansas City, the previous favorite, has the next-best odds at +240, and Baltimore is a close third at +380. Pittsburgh and Houston round out the top five at +1000 and +1200, respectively.
The Broncos and the Chargers are tied for the sixth-best AFC Championship odds at +1800. Three other teams, Cincinnati (+12000), Miami (+22500), and Indianapolis (+35000), are still in the hunt for a playoff spot but are long shots to win the conference.
10 teams are still alive in the AFC, but it is really a two-team race for the conference. Kansas City has the inside track to host the title game, and Buffalo is the only team to beat the Chiefs this year. The AFC representative will either be the Chiefs or the Bills.
NFC Championship Odds
- Philadelphia Eagles (+190)
- Detroit Lions (+225)
- Green Bay Packers (+600)
- Minnesota Vikings (+600)
- Los Angeles Rams (+1400)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1400)
- Washington Commanders (+2500)
Philadelphia, predictably, overwhelmed Pittsburgh in the battle of the Keystone State in Week 15. The win was a franchise-record 10th straight victory and put Philly in a great position to win the top seed in the NFC. Philadelphia also moved into pole position to win the conference, with the Eagles’ odds shortening from +275 to +190.
Detroit lost in Week 15, snapping the Lions 11-game win streak. The Lions still control the number-one seed and have the second-best odds to win the conference at +225. Detroit’s division rivals, the Packers and the Vikings, are tied for the third-best odds at +600.
Rounding out the current playoff field entering Week 16 are the Rams (+1400), the Buccaneers (+1400), and the Commanders (+2500). Atlanta (+5000), Seattle (+5500), and Arizona (+7500) are also still mathematically alive for a spot in the playoffs.
Detroit’s injuries could derail the best season in the Lions’ franchise history. Philadelphia, on the other hand, seems poised to right the wrongs of its Super Bowl losing season from two years ago. Depending on the final standings, the Eagles will likely have to play at least two NFC North teams to make the Super Bowl.

Buffalo Bills (+350)
Buffalo’s Week 15 win over the Lions in Detroit shook up multiple betting markets. Josh Allen took a commanding lead in the MVP race, Buffalo became the favorite to win the AFC, and the Bills became the Super Bowl favorites, too.
The Bills were listed at +650 to win the Big Game heading into Week 15. Their 48-42 win over an injury-depleted Lions team propelled Buffalo to the top of the Super Bowl 59 odds boards. The Bills are now the +350 betting favorite to win their first Lombardi.
Philadelphia Eagles (+420)
There is also a new favorite in the NFC, and their name is the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly was listed at +500 odds to win the Big Game after Week 14. The Eagles’ odds have only shortened to +420, but Philly has the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 59.
Philly has a tough road through the NFC to reach the Super Bowl, especially if they fall short of the number one seed. If the Eagles earn the top seed, though, they will have the benefits of rest and home field on their side in the playoffs. Ultimately, Philly go as far as Saquon Barkley can carry them this postseason.
Detroit Lions (+500)
The Lions were the +260 Super Bowl favorites after beating the Packers on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. Unfortunately for Detroit, their injuries had to catch up with them eventually. The Lions’ 11-game winning streak ended in Week 15, and Detroit’s title odds have faded significantly as a result.
Bovada now lists the Lions at +500 odds to win it all, tied with the Chiefs for the third-best title odds. The good news for Detroit is that they still control the top seed and can secure a first-round bye in the postseason by winning out.
That will be easier said than done, though, as the Lions finish the season with matchups at Chicago, at San Franciso, and hosting the Vikings in Week 18. Detroit’s injuries continue to pile up, too, making it even more challenging to win in the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs (+500)
Kansas City is one of the few teams whose Super Bowl 59 odds have remained unchanged over the last week. The Chiefs are listed at +500 odds to complete the three-peat this season.
Patrick Mahomes’s ankle injury will make or break the Chiefs’ chances to secure the top seed in the AFC this season. Even if Kansas City must go on the road this postseason, they are still a great bet to win it all. Mahomes and company showed last year that they can win on the road come playoff time.
The Chiefs still have the best chance of winning the number one seed, meaning the road to the Big Game in the AFC goes through Kansas City. Buffalo beat the Chiefs once this year, but Mahomes is undefeated against the Bills, Ravens, Steelers, and Texans in his playoff career.
Baltimore Ravens (+800)
The Ravens can make a late run at the AFC North title, but they still have a long way to go to be Super Bowl contenders. Baltimore improved its Super Bowl odds from +1000 to +800, and the Ravens’ odds will shorten again if they beat Pittsburgh in Week 16.
Lamar Jackson has struggled against the Steelers in his career, but Pittsburgh has injuries to key stars on both sides of the ball. Even if Jackson and company can win the North, there are still plenty of reasons to doubt Baltimore this season. The Ravens’ defense has been awful at points this year, and Jackson has a reputation for choking in the postseason.
If Baltimore falls short of the AFC North title, their playoff road will be significantly more arduous. The Ravens would likely have to beat both the Bills and the Chiefs on the road to even get to the Super Bowl. As we saw in Week 13, the Ravens would be outmatched in a Big Game showdown with Philadelphia.
