The Oklahoma City Thunder are the favorites in the latest NBA Cup odds. Oklahoma City was the top seed in the West and defeated Dallas and Houston in the Quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.

OKC faces the Milwaukee Bucks, the top seed in the East, on Tuesday, December 17th, to determine the second-ever NBA in-season tournament champion. Keep reading to see the current OKC Thunder vs. Milwaukee Bucks odds, courtesy of the top NBA betting sites. I will break down the current odds and give my NBA Cup Finals predictions.

2024 NBA Cup Final Odds

Here are the updated NBA Cup Final betting odds, courtesy of Bovada Sportsbook.

TeamMoneylinePoint SpreadTotal
Milwaukee Bucks+165+4.5 (-105)Over 214.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder-195-4.5 (-115)Under 214.5 (-110)

OKC is the betting favorite heading into the in-season tournament finals. The Thunder are listed at -195 on the moneyline and are favored by 4.5 points. Milwaukee is a +165 underdog for this game, and the total points are projected at over/under 214.5.

Milwaukee Bucks

  • Moneyline: +165
  • Point spread: +4.5 (-105)

Milwaukee started 2-8 this season, but the Bucks have turned things around lately. Since their poor star, Giannis and company have won 12 of their last 15 games, and the Greek Freak has looked unstoppable.

Giannis has been the driving force behind the Bucks’ turnaround, leading the NBA in points (32.7 PPG) and fifth in rebounds (11.5 RPG). Despite their recent success, Milwaukee is a +160 underdog entering the NBA Cup Final.

The Thunder are 10th PPG (115.6) and give up the fewest turnovers (11.1) in the NBA, so the Bucks’ defense will be tested. Milwaukee’s offense also faces a tough challenge, as OKC allows just 103.5 PPG, which is the fewest in the NBA.

Oklahoma City Thunder

  • Moneyline: -195
  • Point spread:-4.5 (-115)

Bovada has the OKC Thunder as 4.5-point favorites heading into the 2024 NBA Cup Finals. The Thunder have been dominant this season, and at 20-5, they are currently the best team in the West. OKC can announce themselves as true NBA Championship contenders by winning the in-season tournament against the Bucks.

Beating Milwaukee has been easier said than done lately, but the Thunder are up to the task. They are 9-1 in their last 10 games and have won five straight by double-digits.

To realize their destiny as in-season champs, the Thunder need to find a way to slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak has 19 double-doubles and three triple-doubles this year. If OKC can prevent Giannis from taking over the game, they will win this year’s NBA Cup.

Total Points Over/Under 214.5

  • Over 214.5 (-110)
  • Under 214.5 (-110)

In addition to betting on the winner, you can wager on exciting prop wagers for Thunder vs. Bucks. For instance, Bovada lists the total points for this game at over/under 214.5.

OKC and Milwaukee average 115.6 and 113.3 PPG, respectively. On the defensive end, the Thunder allow the fewest points in the league, 103.5, while the Bucks allow the 12th-fewest, 111.9.

NBA Cup Player Props

There are excellent player prop betting options in Bovada’s NBA Cup odds, too. You can wager on points, rebounds, assists, and more for the upcoming Bucks vs. Thunder finals matchup.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 29.5 Points (-105)

Secure sportsbooks list Giannis at over/under 29.5 points for the Bucks’ NBA Cup Finals matchup against the Thunder. Antetokounmpo leads the NBA in scoring, averaging over 32 points per game.

As I mentioned above, the Thunder need to slow Giannis down to beat the Bucks. However, keeping the Greek Freak under 30 points is nearly impossible. Opponents have kept Giannis under the 30-point mark just once in his last 10 games.

Milwaukee needs a big game from Giannis to overcome the odds against OKC. Considering that, I think The Greek Freak will cover his scoring total in this game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 31.5 Points (-150)

Speaking of NBA MVP contenders, Bovada lists Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at over/under 31.5 points for this NBA Cup Finals matchup. SGA is averaging 30.3 PPG this year, the fourth-most in the NBA.

A 32-point night would be above his season average, but SGA has scored 30 or more points in six of his last seven games. Milwaukee’s defense has been average this season, and I think they will struggle to contain SGA on Tuesday.

OKC needs a big game from SGA to win, especially if the Thunder cannot contain Giannis. Given SGA’s recent success, I think he will score at least 32 points for the third straight game.

Bobby Portis Over 1.5 Made 3-Point Shots (+165)

Bovada also has NBA Cup player prop odds for the role players on both teams. Bucks’ 6th Man of the Year Candidate Bobby Portis is listed at +165 to make over 1.5 three-pointers in this game.

Portis only has one start this season, but he has played at least 21 minutes in four straight games. He has also made seven three-pointers in his last three games and is averaging 3.3 3PA this season. Portis will have the attempts, and I think he will make at least two three-pointers on Tuesday.

Isaiah Hartenstein Over 3.5 Assists (-115)

There are thrilling player props for the Thunders’ role players as well. Isaiah Hartenstein, for instance, is averaging a career-high 4.1 assists per game in his first year in OKC.

Bovada lists Hartenstein at over/under 3.5 assists against Milwaukee. I think the free agent signee’s great season will continue, with Hartenstein covering his total assists prop in this game.

Special Wagers and Fun Props

This is only the second-ever NBA in-season tournament, and Bovada is offering unique wagers to help mark the occasion. Some of the uncommon props available for this game include which team will win the first half, the race to 25 points, and total points, assists, and rebound markets for top stars.

Winning 1st Half

  • Milwaukee Bucks (+150)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder (-175)

OKC is a -195 favorite to win the game, and Bovada lists the Thunder at -175 to win the first half. There is a first-half point spread market available, too, which favors OKC by 2.5 points.

The Bucks, on the other hand, are listed at +150 to win the first half. Milwaukee is 8-2 in the first half of its last 10 games. Likewise, the Thunder have also started hot recently, winning eight of their last 10 first halves. It will be close, but I think the Thunder will win the first half on Tuesday.

Race to 25

  • Milwaukee Bucks (+125)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder (-176)

The race to 25 is another fun game prop wager available for Thunder vs. Bucks. The first team to reach 25 points will win this wager. Given the scoring prowess of these two teams, this bet could cash in the first quarter.

OKC is the -176 favorite in this wager, but I think the Bucks (+125) are the better bet. A fresh and rested Giannis will be tough to stop early on, and I think the Greek Freak will power the Bucks to a win in the race to 25 points.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 43.5 Total Points, Rebounds, and Assists (+105)

You can also combine stat totals into one wager for easier betting. For instance, Bovada offers a market for SGA to have over/under 43.5 total points, rebounds, and assists against Milwaukee.

SGA is averaging 30.3 PPG, 5.5 TRPG, and 6.2 APG this season, which would not be enough to cover his over in this bet. However, I think SGA will score at least 32 points and will finish with enough assists and rebounds to cover the over on this wager.

Expert Predictions and Value Bets

The Thunder and the Bucks will square off in a winner-take-all matchup in this year’s NBA Cup Final. Bovada lists OKC as the -195 favorite, and I think OKC will take down the Bucks on Tuesday.

Milwaukee is a 4.5-point underdog heading into this matchup. Giannis will have another outstanding performance, but it will not be enough for the Bucks to cover. Bovada lists the total points at over/under 214.5, and I think the over is the better bet.
