Daytime Emmys Predictions
The Daytime Emmys are scheduled for June 7th at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. Luckily, you do not need to battle LA traffic to wager on this year’s awards. Here are the latest Daytime Emmys odds and my predictions, with odds courtesy of BetUS Sportsbook.
Daytime Drama – Best Actor
- John McCook as Eric Forrester (-500)
- Thorsten Kaye as Ridge Forrester (+400)
- Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer (+500)
- Eric Braeden as Victor Newman (+600)
- Eric Martsolf as Brady Black (+600)
One of the most anticipated awards every year at the Daytime Emmys is the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama. This year, John McCook is the -500 betting favorite for his performance as Eric Forrester in The Bold and the Beautiful.
McCook’s castmates Thorsten Kaye (+400) and Scott Clifton (+500) have the second and third-best odds for their roles as Ridge Forrester and Liam Spencer. Eric Braeden and Eric Martsolf are tied for the fourth-best odds at +600.
Having three actors from the same show could split the vote and make it harder for one of them to earn enough support to win. Eric Braeden, on the other hand, has played Victor Newman for over 40 years and battled bladder cancer in 2023. Braeden has won numerous awards for the role over the years, and I think he will win more this year.
Prediction: Eric Braeden wins Best Actor in a Drama (+600)
Daytime Drama – Best Actress
- Finola Hughes as Anna Devane (+200)
- Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers (+250)
- Annika Noelle as Hope Logan (+250)
- Katherine Kelly Lang as Brooke Logan (+300)
- Tamara Braum as Ava Vitali (+300)
Sports betting sites also have odds on the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Drama award. Five of the six nominees are listed at 3-1 odds or better to win this award.
Finola Hughes leads the way at +200 for her role as Anna Devane in General Hospital. She is followed closely by Michelle Stafford and Annika Noelle, who are both listed at +250. Katherine Kelly Lang and Tamara Braum round out the top five at +300 each.
The odds for this award are much closer than the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama category. So, picking the right actress to bet on is more challenging. I will stick with the favorite as Finola Hughes looks to win just her second Daytime Emmy award.
Best Daytime Drama Series
- The Young and The Restless (-500)
- General Hospital (+500)
- The Bold and The Beautiful (+800)

There are many other awards available for betting on, including the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards. You can also wager on the shows themselves. The Outstanding Drama Series award, for instance, highlights the best soap operas of the year.
The Young and The Restless (-500) is the betting favorite for this year’s award. General Hospital is a distant second at +500 odds. Three soaps, The Bold and The Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and The Bay, are tied for the third-best odds at +800.
Neighbors (+1000) brings up the rear at 10-1 odds. Unlike actors and actresses from the same show, the shows themselves do not need to be as considered with splitting the vote. The Young and The Restless has won this category 11 times before, and I think the show makes it an even dozen this year.

Best Daytime Culinary Series
- Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays (-500)
- What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel (+500)
- Family Dinner (+500)

Soap operas are not the only shows honored at the Daytime Emmys. You can wager on other top daytime television shows, such as the award for Outstanding Culinary Series.
The betting favorite is Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays at -500 odds. Two shows, What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel and Family Dinner, are tied for the next-best Daytime Emmy odds at +500. Be My Quest with Ina Garten and Valeries Home Cooking round out the nominees at +600 and +700 odds, respectively.
Despite being favored in the latest odds, I would not wager on Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays. Instead, I would go with What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel, which had more episodes and offers better value at 5-1 odds.

Best Daytime Talk Series
- The Kelly Clarkson Show (-300)
- The View (+400)
- Tamron Hall (+500)
- Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts (+500)

Another popular category is the Outstanding Daytime Talk Series award. The Kelly Clarkson Show is a sizeable favorite at -300 odds to win this award. Other nominees include The View (+400), Tamron Hall (+500), Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts (+500), and The Jennifer Hudson Show (+600).
All of the nominees in this category are popular with their respective audiences. However, only one daytime talk show has been dominant at the Daytime Emmys in recent years.
Kelly Clarkson has won Outstanding Daytime Talk Show Series Host four years in a row. The show itself has won multiple awards, too, and I think that trend will continue this year. I think The Kelly Clarkson Show will win this category once again.
Prediction: The Kelly Clarkson Show wins Outstanding Talk Show Series(-300)
Best Daytime Entertainment News Series
- Entertainment Tonight (-300)
- Extra (+300)
- Access Hollywood (+400)
There are well-known shows nominated in the Outstanding Entertainment News Series category as well. Entertainment Tonight is the betting favorite at -300. Extra (+300) and Access Hollywood (+400) are the other two shows nominated for this award.
This is another category that has been dominated by one show in recent years. On paper, Extra and Access Hollywood are simply outgunned by the betting favorite.
Entertainment Tonight has won this award four years in a row. The award was first given out in 2014, and Entertainment Tonight has won it eight times. Extra has won it three times, including tying with Entertainment Tonight for first place for the first-ever Outstanding Entertainment News Series award.
Access Hollywood has never won this category, and I do not see that changing this year. I think Entertainment Tonight will win its ninth award in this category.
Prediction: Entertainment Tonight wins Outstanding Entertainment News Series (-300)
Will Neighbors Receive a Daytime Emmy Award?
- Yes (+285)
- No (-280)

Neighbors first aired in 1985 and has released over 9,000 episodes. However, this is its first year of eligibility at the Daytime Emmys due to it originally being an Australian soap opera. The show was picked up by Amazon Freevee in 2022, allowing it to contend for a Daytime Emmy.
The show is nominated in two major categories: Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series. Neighbors is a heavy underdog in both categories.
With that in mind, I would take the no (-280) option in this bet. Also, I would not bet on the yes (+285) option even if you do think Neighbors will win a Daytime Emmy. Instead, I would wager on the awards individually because they offer better value.
