As you can see, Sydnie Christmas (4.00) and CyberAgent Legit (4.00) are the current joint-favourites. Sydnie is a 28-year-old singer, while CyberAgent Legit is a Japanese dance group. Both acts received a Golden Buzzer during the auditions, sending them directly into the semi-finals.
Taryn Charles (5.00) and Ravi’s Dream Team (5.50) also claimed a Golden Buzzer, which is why they find themselves just behind the favourites. Taryn is a 39-year-old singer, while Ravi’s Dream Team is a choir made up of people aged five to 78.
Northants Sings Out Choir (9.00) is the only other act priced under 10.00. The Ssaulabi Performance Troupe (10.00), Innocent Masuka (11.00) and Harrison Pettman (11.00) are also in the mix.

Predicting BGT Winners
In this section, I take a closer look at the bookies’ favourites and discuss their chances of winning. The front-runners are priced between 4.00 and 5.50, with the next contestant priced at 9.00. Accordingly, it makes sense to analyze the top four at this stage.
Sydnie Christmas (4.00)
During the auditions, Sydnie Christmas wowed the audience and the judges with her rendition of Tomorrow from the musical Annie. Not only did she receive a standing ovation, but she also received a Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden.
Despite Sydnie’s impressive voice, she could struggle to win Britain’s Got Talent. History tells us that only three solo singers have won BGT since the show’s inception back in 2007. It is also worth noting that all of those winners were male.
CyberAgent Legit (4.00)
CyberAgent Legit is a dance team that originates from the D.League – a professional dance league in Japan. The eight-piece outfit performs a mixture of breakdancing, acrobatics and robotic dancing. Impressively, they received Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer.
Diversity – one of BGT’s most famous acts – was the last dance team to win the competition back in 2009. However, it feels like CyberAgent Legit has the ability to buck that trend, especially with the backing of the show’s strictest judge.
Taryn Charles (5.00)
After singing Aretha Franklin’s (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Taryn Charles was moved to tears as she received a standing ovation during the auditions. On top of that, Bruno Tonioli decided to award his Golden Buzzer to the 39-year-old.
Funnily enough, Taryn has already appeared on another ITV show called Starstruck, which gives singers the chance to transform into their musical idols. It remains to be seen whether her past experiences will give her an edge in BGT.
Ravi’s Dream Team (5.50)
Ravi’s Dream Team has a sad yet inspiring backstory. The choir was formed by Ravi, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of just six. After recovering from major surgery, he formed a choir with the help of dozens of supporters.
Their performance of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman led to Alesha Dixon pressing her Golden Buzzer. It feels like Ravi and his fellow singers have already captured the hearts of both the judges and the general public.
Who Are the Judges on Britain’s Got Talent?
The judges can have a big impact on the Britain’s Got Talent odds, as well as the outcome of the competition. Although the latter rounds are determined by public voting, the judges can still buzz and offer opinions on acts.
So, who are the judges in Britain’s Got Talent Series 17?
- Simon Cowell – As the creator of the show, Simon has been a judge since Series 1. The 64-year-old is undoubtedly the harshest judge and is not afraid to speak his mind when it comes to critiquing contestants.
- Amanda Holden – Like Simon, Amanda has been a judge since 2007. Unlike Simon, Amanda has a background in musical theatre, film and television, making her a valued member of the panel.
- Alesha Dixon – Alesha joined the BGT judging panel in 2012 and is currently enjoying her 12th series on the show. The former Mis-Teeq member and solo singer has seven UK top 10 hits to her name and also won Strictly Come Dancing in 2007.
- Bruno Tonioli – Bruno is the newest member of the BGT judging panel, having joined the show in 2022. The Italian has judged on several TV talent shows, including Strictly and Dancing with the Stars.
