2024 NFL Draft Props: Will Caleb Williams Be the First Overall Pick?

NFL draft props are a fun way to wager on one of the most exciting parts of the football offseason. You can wager on when specific players will be drafted, how many QBs will be picked, and much more.

Caleb Williams Draft Odds
- 1st overall pick (-4000)
- 1st QB selected (-4000)
Caleb Williams has been the projected number-one pick in the NFL Draft for well-over a year. Now that he has finished his collegiate career, Williams is ready to finally move on to the NFL.

Williams is a heavy favorite to be the first overall pick in Detroit later this month. BetUS has the former USC quarterback listed at -4000 to be selected number one overall. He is also listed at -4000 in the latest NFL Draft odds to be the first QB drafted in 2024.
The next closest player in both betting markets is QB Jayden Daniels. Daniels, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, is listed at +1200 in both markets.
Williams is the clear option for both wagers, and barring an unexpected trade, he will officially be a Chicago Bear by the end of the month. Caleb Williams’ draft odds in these wagers have limited value, but it also practically guaranteed money. He should also be an early favorite, and great bet, to win Offensive Rookie of the Year this season.
2nd Overall Pick Odds
- Jayden Daniels (-150)
- Drake Maye (+100)
- J. McCarthy (+280)
If you believe the NFL draft rumor mill, we could see three or even four QBs drafted at the start of the first round. This has created a ton of competition to be the second overall pick. Jayden Daniels (-150) is the betting favorite, but Drake Maye (+100) and J.J. McCarthy (+280).
The Washington Commanders currently hold the second overall pick. Assuming they stick with it, I do not see the Commanders drafting McCarthy. McCarthy’s draft stock has shot up in recent weeks, but it is not high enough for him to go ahead of Maye and Daniels.
Washington’s new offensive coordinator, Killf Kingsbury, should be able to make either Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels work. The odds for this NFL Draft prop have shifted back and forth between these QBs for weeks.
Daniels is the better runner, and I think he would fit Kingsbury’s offense better. I would pick Daniels (-150) for this wager.
1st Non-QB Drafted
- Marvin Harrison Jr. (-500)
- Malik Nabers (+300)
- Joe Alt (+1000)
The first three picks will likely be QBs, but not every pick in the draft will be a quarterback. Sports betting sites have NFL Draft props for the first non-QB selected in 2024. The Cardinals and the Chargers, who currently have the fourth and fifth picks, are both set at QB.

WR Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State is the favorite for this prop wager. He is listed at -500 to be the first non-QB picked this year. LSU WR Malik Nabers and Notre Dame OL Joe Alt have the next-best odds at +300 and +1000, respectively.
Nabers has shot up mock drafts in recent weeks, but I am not buying into the hype. He is a great prospect, but Maserati Marv is simply on a different level.
Harrison Jr. would fit well with both the Cardinals and the Chargers, and I would pick MHJ for this prop wager. I could see LA taking Alt to fit with new HC Jim Harbaugh’s team-building philosophy, but MHJ could already be off the board by then.
Position of Mr. Irrelevant
- Quarterback (+250)
- Defensive Line or Edge (+400)
- Offensive lineman (+500)
- Cornerback (+600)
- Wide Receiver (+600)
BetUS also has NFL Draft odds for the position of the last player drafted, also known as Mr. Irrelevant. There are 10 positions available to bet on, and five of them have 6-1 odds or better. A QB (+250) is the favorite for this market in the latest 2024 NFL draft betting odds.
The men on the line of scrimmage have the next-best odds in this NFL Draft prop. Defensive linemen and edge rushers are paired together in this bet and are listed at +400. Offensive linemen round out the top three at +500.
The New York Jets currently have picks 256 and 257, the final two picks in the draft. Assuming they do not trade those selections, I believe the Jets will add depth on the defensive side of the ball. They can address the offense early in the draft and then take a defensive lineman or edge rusher with their final pick.
Final Pick of the Draft Odds
- Offensive player or kicker (-125)
- Defensive player or punter (-115)
You can also bet on the final pick of the draft with this prop wager. This bet is a great option for anyone who does not want to have to pick a specific position. You have two choices for this wager: offensive players and kickers (-125) or defensive players and punters (-115).

Offensive players and kickers are the slight favorite in the current NFL Draft odds. However, as I mentioned above, I believe the Jets will attempt to add depth to their defense at the end of the Draft. I would take the defensive players and punters for this wager.
