Texans super bowl odds

The Texans’ Super Bowl odds have improved after trading for one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. Houston acquired WR Stefon Diggs and two day-three picks for a 2025 second-rounder. The move has shortened Houston’s odds of winning Super Bowl 59.

You can bet on the Super Bowl online and shop for the best Texans’ odds post-Diggs trade. Keep reading to see the latest Texans’ odds to win the Super Bowl this season. I will break down the current odds and give you my predictions for Houston this year.

Updated Texans Super Bowl Odds

The Diggs trade helped Houston’s Super Bowl odds, but they still have to get through a loaded AFC. Check out the table below for the latest Super Bowl 59 odds of every team in the top 10. The following odds are courtesy of BetUS Sportsbook.

Team Super Bowl 59 Odds Conference
Kansas City Chiefs +600 AFC
San Francisco 49ers +600 NFC
Baltimore Ravens +900 AFC
Detroit Lions +1200 NFC
Houston Texans +1400 AFC
Cincinnati Bengals +1400 AFC
Buffalo Bills +1400 AFC
Philadelphia Eagles +1600 NFC
Dallas Cowboys +1800 NFC
Miami Dolphins +2000 AFC

BetUS has the Texans in a three-way tie for the fifth-best Super Bowl 59 odds. They are currently listed at +1400 to win their first Lombardi. Two other AFC teams, Buffalo and Cincinnati, are also listed at 14-1 odds to win their first Super Bowl this season.

Texans Super Bowl Odds Shift

BetUS and other secure sports betting sites posted their Super Bowl 59 odds shortly after the confetti started falling for Super Bowl 58. The Texans’ odds have shifted dramatically in the last few weeks.

Houston Super Bowl Odds Before Free Agency

C.J. Stroud led the Texans to the second round of the playoffs in his first NFL season. So, it is unsurprising that oddsmakers and bettors had high expectations for Houston after last year.

Before free agency started, sports betting sites had Houston listed at +2500 to win the Super Bowl. At 25-1, the Texans were just outside the top 10 of NFL teams with the best title odds. They were tied with the likes of the Chargers, the Rams, and the Jets.

Texans Super Bowl 59 Odds after Free Agency

Houston’s title odds shortened after free agency. They were listed at +2000 to win Super Bowl 59 after the first wave of free agency. The shift secured the Texan’s place at the top of the AFC South.

It also moved Houston within the top 10 of Super Bowl 59 contenders. The Texans were still behind teams like the Chiefs, the Ravens, and the Bills, but they moved ahead of teams like the Jets and the Chargers. Houston finished the first wave of free agency with the fifth-best title odds in the AFC.

Current Odds the Texans Win the Super Bowl

Trading for a star wide receiver like Stefon Diggs would likely improve any team’s title odds. Following the trade, Houston’s odds shortened once again. BetUS has the Texans tied for the fifth-best Super Bowl odds of any team in the NFL at +1400.

Only two teams in the AFC, Kansas City (+600) and Baltimore (+900), have better odds than Houston. The Ravens knocked the Texans out of the playoffs last year, and the Chiefs beat the Ravens before going on to win Super Bowl 59.

Will the Texans Win the Super Bowl?

We still have the NFL Draft and the rest of the offseason for teams to make roster changes before the season starts. So, Houston’s title odds could continue to fluctuate over the coming months. However, at 14-1, I do think the Texans are a solid bet to win it all this year.

Joe Burrow and Brock Purdy led the Bengals and 49ers, respectively, to the Super Bowl in their first two years in the league. Stroud certainly has the talent and the roster around him to make a title run.

The two biggest obstacles are the sophomore slump and number 15 in Kansas City. The Texans will be under more pressure this year, so living up to the hype will be more difficult. Also, the Texans will likely need to get past the Chiefs at some point to even make the Super Bowl.

More Texans Futures Odds

Betting on Houston winning the Lombardi is not the only way to wager on the Texans this year. You can also place future wagers on Houston winning the AFC South and winning the AFC Championship Game.

Win the AFC South

Houston’s easiest way to secure a spot in the playoffs is to repeat as the AFC South division winner. Winning the South again would guarantee the Texans a spot in the playoffs and at least one home game.

Securing a spot in the playoffs would significantly boost the Texans’ Super Bowl odds. BetUS has Houston listed at +110 to win the division this season. Their biggest threats are the Jaguars (+260) and the Colts (+325).

In true Jaguars fashion, Trevor Lawrence and Co. fell apart last season when they nearly had the division locked up. The Colts nearly made the playoffs, but they lost rookie QB Anthony Richardson early in the season. Based on what we know so far, Houston certainly seems like the best bet to win the AFC South next season.

Win the AFC Championship

Houston will need to win the AFC Championship Game to make it to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have made six straight appearances in the conference title game. If Houston does not run into KC before then, it will likely have to face Mahomes and Co. with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Here are the latest AFC Championship Game odds at BetUS.

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+325)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+450)
  • Houston Texans (+650)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+650)
  • Buffalo Bills (+650)

The Chiefs have won four of the last six AFC title games, so it is unsurprising that they are favored to win again this year. At +650, Houston is tied for the third-best odds. If their young roster can take a step forward this year, the Texans could be a steal at their current odds.

Where to Bet on the Texans Super Bowl Odds

The odds the Texans win Super Bowl 59 have shortened significantly over the last month and a half.
