NFL AFC Championship Odds: Best Bets for Chiefs vs. Ravens

The NFL AFC Championship odds for this weekend’s clash between the Ravens and the Chiefs have Baltimore as the favorite at home. Baltimore is the number one seed in the AFC, but this is Kansas City’s sixth straight AFC title game appearance.

Best Bets for Chiefs vs. Ravens

• Moneyline: Chiefs (+170) vs. Ravens (-200)
• Total: Over/under 44.5 points

The Ravens (-200) are 3.5-point favorites against the Chiefs (+170) this weekend in the AFC Championship Game. Bovada has the total points for this game listed at over/under 44.5 points. I think the Chiefs can pull off the upset in back-to-back weeks, but I would take the under on the total, given the strength of these defenses.

Rashee Rice to Have 1+ TD and KC to Win (+330)

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco missed practices this week with a toe injury, and his status for this game is up in the air. If Pacheco is unable to play or is limited, then Kansas City will need its other young players to step up. That includes rookie WR Rashee Rice.

Rice has played well in his first professional season, racking up 938 yards and seven TDs on 79 catches in the regular season. He has made 12 catches for 177 yards and one TD so far in the playoffs. Rice currently leads the team in receiving yards in the playoffs and was their second-leading receiver, behind Travis Kelce, in the regular season.

I think the Chiefs can beat the Ravens, but Rice will likely need to be involved early and often for Kansas City to win. He is listed at +150 in the latest Chiefs odds to score a TD this Sunday. If you bet on Rice to score and the Chiefs to win outright, though, you can get +330 payout odds.

Even if Pacheco does play, I think Rice is a good bet to score. He is the team’s best receiving option outside of Kelce, and the Ravens will do everything they can to stop Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.

Mark Andrews Anytime TD Scorer (+175)

Baltimore could be getting a huge boost to its offense ahead of this year’s AFC title game. Star TE Mark Andrews is expected to make his return in time to suit up for this game. Andrews has not played since he injured his ankle in the team’s Week 11 win over the Bengals.

In the 10 games he played this season, Andrews had 45 catches for 544 yards and six TDs. It is fair to assume that he will be a big part of the game plan against the Chiefs this weekend if Andrews is able to suit up.

Andrews practiced last week and this week, but I doubt he is in game shape yet. So, I would not bet on him to have a lot of receptions. I am confident he will be a big red zone target, though, and he is available at +175 in the latest Ravens odds. I would bet on him to score a TD this weekend.

Travis Kelce 70+ Receiving Yards, 6+ Receptions, and 1+ TD (+244)

The other star TE in this matchup is Travis Kelce, who is coming off a great game last week. As I predicted, Kelce ended his TD drought against the Bills in Kansas City’s 27-24 win. I believe that Kelce is in store for another great performance this weekend in Baltimore.

Kelce has at least six receptions and 73 receiving yards in all five of his career games against the Ravens. He also has scored a TD in two of those five games.

NFL betting sites have Kelce listed with the following odds to hit those marks again this weekend:

• 70+ receiving yards (-110)
• 6+ receptions (-157)
• 1+ TD (+130)

Bovada has a three-leg same-game parlay available that combines all of these bets into one wager. The odds for this parlay are currently listed at +244.

Kelce has averaged over 10 yards per reception this season. So, if he can get at least six catches, he should be able to rack up 70 yards. I think he can score, too, and would feel confident betting on this special same-game parlay from Bovada.

Lamar Jackson 25+ Rushing Yards in Each Half (+140)

The biggest advantage the Ravens have this weekend is the presumptive MVP, QB Lamar Jackson. Jackson silenced a lot of doubters last weekend with a dominant win over the Texans. It has just Jackson’s second playoff win, improving his career record to 2-3 in the postseason.

Jackson had 252 total yards and four total TDs last week against Houston. Baltimore will need another great performance from their QB if they want to beat the defending Super Bowl champions. Jackson needs to have a good game through the air and on the ground.

Sports betting sites have Jackson listed at over/under 63.5 total rushing yards for this game. I prefer this prop wager from Bovada, though, that offers +140 payout odds if Jackson has at least 25 rushing yards in each half.

Kansas City has a great pass rush, so I have no doubt that Jackson will need to scramble early and often in this game. Baltimore also uses designed runs to get the most out of Jackson’s rushing ability. I think he can get at least 25 yards on the ground in each half as a result.

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson Combine for 500+ Passing Yards (+185)

Rounding out my list of the best NFL AFC Championship odds is this combined passing yards wager. You can bet on Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson to combine for 500+ passing yards on Sunday. The payout odds for this combined passing yard wager are currently listed at +185.

Bovada has Mahomes listed at over/under 240.5 passing yards, and Jackson is available at over/under 212.5 passing yards. At least one of these star QBs will have to hit their over for this total passing yards wager to payout.

I think Mahomes can get close to 300 passing yards, even against a tough defense like the Ravens. The bigger question is whether Jackson can get to 200 passing yards. Jackson had under 200 passing yards in seven of the 17 games he has played this season.

The Chiefs will likely focus on limiting Jackson’s rush attempts, which should open the passing lanes. I believe Jackson can get to at least 200 passing yards this weekend. If Mahomes can get to around 300, then these star QBs should combine for at least 500 passing yards on Sunday.
