The Royal Rumble 2024 is scheduled to take place this Saturday, January 27th, in St. Petersburg, Florida. There are four matches confirmed so far for this year’s card, including the two titular Royal Rumble matches.

2024 Royal Rumble Odds

The Royal Rumble is the first of the big four PLEs on the annual WWE calendar. This year’s event is also the first PLE of 2024 and the first PLE since Survivor Series: WarGames back in November.

Here is a look at the four matches that have been confirmed for the 2024 Royal Rumble:

  • Men’s Royal Rumble Match
  • Women’s Royal Rumble Match
  • Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the United States Championship
  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight for the Universal Championship

This year’s card is a match or two shorter than it has been in previous years. However, there should still be plenty of action to enjoy this weekend. The two Rumbles could easily last over an hour each and the fatal four-way for the Universal Championship should last at least 30 minutes.

Here are the latest betting odds and my predictions for the Royal Rumble 2024.

2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match Odds

So far, only eight of the 30 contestants in the Men’s Royal Rumble have been confirmed. Here are the odds for the known wrestlers in this year’s match:

  • CM Punk (+150)
  • Cody Rhodes (+275)
  • Drew McIntyre (+1000)
  • Damian Priest (+5000)
  • Bobby Lashley (+6600)
  • Shinsuke Nakamura (+8000)
  • Kofi Kingston (+15000)

CM Punk (+150) is the betting favorite among the confirmed competitors, followed closely by last year’s winner. Cody Rhodes (+275). While they have not been confirmed, other wrestlers with favorable odds include Gunther (+300), The Rock (+700), and Jey Uso (+1000).

Punk has not competed since he rejoined the WWE at Survivor Series. However, winning the Rumble would give Punk what he always wanted, a match in the main event at WrestleMania.

Rhodes won last year’s Rumble, eliminating Gunther, who had lasted 71 minutes and 40 seconds. I think Rhodes is a good pick to win the match again, joining the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Shawn Michaels as a back-to-back winner.

A win would set up Rhodes to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in a rematch of their fight from last year. Rumor has it that this could Reigns last match, and Rhodes still needs to “finish the story” in his return to WWE. This would allow the WWE to hit a big payoff for both storylines.

Prediction:

Cody Rhodes wins the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble (+275)

2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Match Odds

The contestants for the Women’s Royal Rumble match are also largely a mystery. Only four wrestlers have been confirmed for the event so far. Here are the Royale Rumble 2024 odds for the women we know are participating.

  • Bayley (+135)
  • Becky Lynch (+200)
  • Nia Jax (+800)
  • Bianca Belair (+1000)

Bayley (+135) has the shortest odds of any woman to win this year’s event. She is closely followed by Becky Lynch (+200). Jade Cargill (+300), Raquel Rodriguez (+900), and Sasha Banks (+1200) also have favorable odds, but they have not been confirmed for this year’s event.

Cargill recently came over from AEW but has not yet made her in-ring debut. Banks left the WWE in 2022 due to frustrations with her booking, and she has not returned. So, I would not bet on either of these women at this point.

Becky Lynch could be a good bet, and she has already made it clear that she wants to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40. Ripley won last year’s Rumble match and is currently the Women’s World Champion.

I think the WWE will find another way for Lynch to get her shot at Rhea at Mania. Bayley (+135) is the better bet, and tensions have been growing between her and the other members of Damage CTRL for a while. I believe Bayley will win and challenge her teammate, WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky, at WrestleMania 40.

Prediction:

Bayley wins the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match (+135)

Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens

  • Logan Paul (c) (-2000)
  • Kevin Owens (+700)

There are two championship matches scheduled for this year’s Royal Rumble event. The first is a US Championship match between Logan Paul (c) and Kevin Owens. Paul won the championship by defeating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel in early November.

Despite holding the belt for over two months now, Paul has taken a page out of Roman Reigns’ book and has not defended his championship. Owens earned the right to challenge Paul by winning an eight-man tournament on SmackDown.

Paul – who has been earning his stripes in the boxing ring in recent years – is listed at -2000 to successfully defend his belt this weekend. I think he will win, mostly because this is his first title defense in the WWE. It will be challenging to build Paul up as a legitimate champion in the future if he loses this weekend.

Also, Owen has a hand injury that the WWE has been playing up in recent weeks. Focusing on the injury makes a lot of sense from a booking perspective and makes it easier for Ownes to believably put over Paul this weekend.

Prediction:

Logan Paul (C) (-2000)

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight

  • Roman Reigns (c) (-2500)
  • Randy Orton (+800)
  • AJ Styles (+1400)
  • LA Knight (+1400)

The final match for WWE Royal Rumble 2024 is a fatal four-way match for the Universal Championship. Roman Reigns (-2500) is a massive favorite at most sports betting sites as he puts his belt on the line against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight.

Orton (+800) has the shortest odds of any of the three challengers to dethrone Reigns this weekend. Styles and Knight are both tied for the third-best odds at +1400.

In theory, the fatal four-way rules should put Reigns in jeopardy of losing his belt. However, he will still have Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman to help ensure that no one else gets pinned and costs Reigns his title.

The Bloodline will undoubtedly interfere, as they have done in nearly every one of Reigns’ title defenses over the last three-plus years. I do not think that Reigns will lose the belt this weekend, especially with WrestleMania 40 on the horizon. This should be an entertaining match, but one that Reigns ultimately wins, thanks to interference from the Bloodline.

Royal Rumble 2024 Betting Tips

This year’s Royal Rumble 2024 card is smaller than it has been in years past. So, you will have fewer chances to wager on the first PLE of the year. Luckily, you can increase your chances of winning your bets by following these betting tips.

Bet the Storyline

The scripted nature of professional wrestling can be a blessing and a curse for WWE bettors. On one hand, it can make for drastic odds when favorites are in the middle of long storylines. Luckily, you can also use your knowledge of the storyline to help with your betting picks.

Traditionally, the Royal Rumble is used to set up matches for the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. So, all the matches on the card usually tie into Mania in some way. The winners this weekend will all likely have a role to play in April.
