2024 NFL Playoff Odds: Best Bets for Saturday
The latest 2024 NFL playoff odds have exciting betting markets for all six games scheduled for Super Wild Card Weekend. The action kicks off on Saturday with two great AFC matchups.
It starts with the Texans hosting the Browns in a rematch of their Week 16 game. Then, the Dolphins travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in a rematch from Week 9. You can bet on the NFL playoffs online and easily wager on the best bets for most of these games.
Keep reading to see which bets give you the best chance of winning money from Saturday’s playoff games. I will break down the latest 2024 NFL playoffs for these games and give you my predictions for the wagers that are the best betting options.
Best NFL Playoff Bets for Saturday
The 2024 NFL playoffs officially start this weekend with a highly anticipated slate of Wild Card games. Here are my picks for the NFL’s best bets for Saturday’s playoff games.
Houston Texans Point Spread: +2.5 (+105)
Houston is the home team for its rematch with Cleveland. However, the Browns are 2.5-point favorites in the opening game on the Wild Card round. Joe Flacco led the Browns to a 36-22 win in Houston when these two teams met in Week 16.
The Browns arguably have the best defense in the playoffs. However, their Week 16 win came against a Texans team that did not have its starting QB. Rookie C.J. Stroud is back and will be suiting up for this game.
I think the Browns still have a good chance of winning this game, but it should be closer with Stroud back in the lineup. Also, I would not be surprised if Stroud leads the Texans to an outright upset win. So, I would take the Texans against the spread for the opening game of Wild Card Weekend.
Houston Texans +2.5 (+105)
Houston Texans: Nico Collins Anytime TD Scorer (+137)
The deck is somewhat stacked against Stroud for his first NFL playoff action. In addition to going against one of the top defenses, he is also without many of his top wide receivers. The injuries to the Texans’ receiving corps have not held Stroud back so far.

One reason for this is that WR Nico Collins has shouldered more of the load. He has 80 receptions for 1,297 and eight TDs this season.
Collins has a TD receptions in five of the Texans’ last eight games. He is listed at +137 to score another TD this weekend against the Browns. Collins is tied with Devin Singletary for the best odds of any Texans player and the third-best odds overall in this prop wager.
Even with Stroud out of the line-up and getting just four catches for 18 total yards, Collins scored in Week 16 against Cleveland. Now that Stroud is back, I think that Collins will have a much better showing and score again against the stout Browns defense.
Nico Collins anytime TD scorer (+137)
Cleveland Browns: Joe Flacco Over 0.5 Interceptions (-165)
The Browns (11-6) are one of two road favorites on Super Wild Card weekend. A huge part of Cleveland’s success in the second half of the season has been the reemergence of Joe Flacco. The former Super Bowl MVP has led the Browns to a 4-1 record in his five starts this season.
Flacco has nothing to lose at this stage in his career, and he has not been afraid to throw the ball around. He had 13 TDs in his five starts, but he also has eight INTs. Also, he has thrown at least one interception in all five games that he has played this season.
In the Week 16 matchup against Houston, Flacco was picked off twice. Football betting sites have Flacco listed at -165 to have over 0.5 INTs in this playoff matchup.
Flacco’s carefree attitude is a double-edged sword for the Browns. He has to air it out for Cleveland’s offense to put up points, but it also leads to a lot of turnovers. I think he will throw at least one interception in this game, and I suggest taking the over in the total interceptions bet.
Joe Flacco over 0.5 interceptions (-165)
Kansas City Chiefs: Marquez Valdes-Scantling 1+ TD and Chiefs Win (+775)
The second game in Saturday’s Wild Card doubleheader is also a rematch. The Chiefs will host the Dolphins again this season, this time in Kansas City. Their first matchup was in Frankfurt, Germany, in Week 9 as part of the International Series.
One of my favorite bets for this game is a player double for Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The much-maligned WR is listed at +775 to catch a TD and for the Chiefs to win. This bet is essentially a two-legged parlay, as both parts have to hit for your ticket to cash.

Kansas City is listed at -210 on the moneyline to win outright. MVS, on the other hand, is listed at +400 to be an anytime TD scorer for this matchup with the Dolphins.
MVS has just one TD this season. However, he has had plenty of targets this season, especially downfield. The problem is that he keeps dropping the ball on potentially game-changing deep routes. Any TD scorer would count toward this bet; MVS just has to secure the ball and get into the endzone.
RB Isiah Pacheco and WR Rashee Rice are listed in similar wagers at +112 and +181, respectively. Those are safer bets, but their payouts are a lot lower. I think MVS is worth the risk, and I would place a small wager on this player performance double.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling 1+ TDs, and the Chiefs win (+775)
Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-170)
Another bet I like for this Wild Card game is for Patrick Mahomes to have over 1.5 passing TDs. The former MVP is listed at -170 in the latest 2024 NFL player odds at the top sports betting sites.
Mahomes has 27 passing TDs this season, the second-lowest he has had in his career since becoming the starter. He also has just one multi-TD game in his last five starts.
Despite his recent performances, I do think that Mahomes will have at least two passing TDs this weekend. Mahomes had two TDs in the Chiefs’ Week 9 win over the Dolphins. Miami’s defense has also lost several key players since then, including both of its top pass rushers: Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb.
The cold weather will also be a major factor in this game. The Dolphins are just not the same team when the temperature drops below freezing. With that being said, I think Mahomes will have at least two passing TDs against Miami this weekend.
Patrick Mahomes over 1.5 passing TDs (-170)
Miami Dolphins: De’Von Achane Anytime TD Scorer (+130)
The Dolphins were playing for the top seed in the AFC just a couple of weeks ago. Now, they are the fifth seed after losing back-to-back games and have to travel to Kansas City this weekend. Miami will need its stars to step up in this game if they want to upset the Chiefs.

One of the young stars on the Dolphins that needs to step up is rookie RB De’Von Achane. He missed the first matchup against Kansas City due to a knee injury that landed him on Injured Reserve. He had 527 total yards and seven TDs in his first four games before getting hurt.
Since coming back from IR, Achane has just 470 total yards and four TDs in seven games. He had 470 rushing yards alone in his four games pre-injury. With Raheem Mostert dealing with an injury of his own, the Dolphins need Achane to get back to his early season form in the Wild Card round.
I think Achane will get plenty of touches in the sub-freezing temperatures in KC. He is listed at +130 to score a TD, tied with Mostert for the second-best odds of any Dolphins player. I would take Achane in this bet since he is the healthier of the two RBs heading into this matchup.
