Christmas NFL Prop Bets for 2023

Week 16’s Saturday and Sunday games will have huge playoff implications. There are also a ton of exciting Christmas Day NFL props available at Bovada Sportsbook. Here are my picks and predictions for the best prop wagers available for Monday’s holiday tripleheader.

Kansas City Chiefs: Travis Kelce Anytime TD Scorer (-121)

The NFL Christmas Day games kick off with an AFC West divisional matchup between Kansas City and Las Vegas. The Chiefs are coming off a dominant 27-17 win on the road in New England.

One player who had a forgettable performance in Foxborough was star TE Travis Kelce. The future Hall of Famer had five catches but racked up just 28 yards. It was also Kelce’s fourth straight game without a TD.

Football betting sites have Kelce listed at -121 to score a TD this week. He has the best odds of any player in this game, slightly ahead of his teammate RB Isiah Pacheco (-106).

Assuming he is healthy, I think Kelce’s TD drought will end this week against the Raiders. The Chiefs’ offense has struggled in recent weeks, and the best way to fix that is by getting Kelce involved early and often. I would bet on him to score this week with this Week 16 NFL prop bet.

Prediction:

Travis Kelce anytime TD scorer (-121)

Las Vegas Raiders: Aidan O’Connell Over 213.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Rookie Aidan O’Connell put up 248 passing yards and one touchdown in his first matchup against the Chiefs. Bovada has the first-year QB listed at over/under 213.5 passing yards for his first game in Kansas City.

O’Connell has at least 248 passing yards in three of his last four starts. The Raiders are also coming off one of the best wins in their franchise history after beating the Chargers 63-21 in Week 14 on TNF.

I think that Las Vegas will have plenty of momentum on their side heading into Arrowhead. The Chiefs’ defense is one of the best units in the league, though.

Despite Kansas City’s stingy defense, I do think that O’Connell will be able to cover the total in this Week 16 props wager. The Raiders offense has nothing to lose, and I think they will try to air it out in Arrowhead. I would take the over in this total passing yards wager.

Prediction:

Aidan O’Connell over 213.5 passing yards (-115)

Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts Over 0.5 interceptions (+125)

The second game on the NFL’s Christmas tripleheader is an NFC East showdown between the Eagles and Giants. Philadelphia had a gold chance to regain control of the division on Monday. However, the Eagles lost to Seattle 20-17 for their third straight loss.

Now the Eagles need to win out in order to win the NFC East. Philadelphia’s struggles have mostly been on defense this season. But lately, Jalen Hurts and the offense have also struggled. Hurts has gone back-to-back games without a passing TD.

Philly’s QB has also struggled with turnovers this season and is tied for the most turnovers in the NFL at 17. Sports betting sites have Hurts listed at +125 to throw an interception this week.

Hurts already has 12 INTs this year, including two against Seattle last on MNF. The Giants, on the other hand, are tied for the eighth-most interceptions in the league at 13. I think the odds and Hurts’ recent struggles make this one of the best Week 16 NFL prop bets.

Prediction:

Jalen Hurts over 0.5 interceptions (+125)

New York Giants: Saquon Barkley Over 77.5 Total Scrimmage Yards (-115)

Speaking of the Giants, they would love nothing more than to continue the Eagles’ losing streak. If New York has any chance of overcoming Philadelphia, then they need a big game from RB Saquon Barkley.

Bovada has Barkley listed at over/under 77.5 total rushing and receiving yards for this game against Philly. The sixth-year RB has 1,003 scrimmage yards so far this season.

Barkley is averaging 72.5 rushing and 18.7 receiving yards per game this season. He should be able to reach his average in both categories against the Eagles’ porous defense. Philly has allowed 3,820 passing yards this season, the fourth-most in the league.

The once stout Philly run defense has also struggled lately, allowing at least 100 rushing yards in each of their last four games. I think Barkley can do enough on the ground and through the air to cover the over in this total scrimmage yards prop bet.

Prediction:

Saquon Barkley over 77.5 total scrimmage yards (-115)

Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson Over 10.5 Rushing Attempts (+105)

The most anticipated matchup of Week 16 is a rematch of Super Bowl 47. This game between the Ravens and the 49ers could also be a Super Bowl 58 preview. Baltimore is a five-point underdog on the road in San Franciso.

For the Ravens to overcome the odds, they will need a great game from former MVP Lamar Jackson. The dual-threat QB will need to be great though the air and on the ground. Jackson’s rushing ability should help him evade the 49ers’ pass rush.

Sportsbooks have Jackson listed at over/under 10.5 total rushing attempts for this contest. Jackson has 11 or more rushing attempts in three straight games and four of his last six.

Between designed runs and scrambling to evade the 49ers’ pass rush, I think Jackson will hit at least 11 carries. San Fran’s defense has only allowed 1,252 rushing yards, the third-lowest, but they have given up 4.3 yards per carry. Jackson should be able to find plenty of chances to run against the 49ers in prime time.

Prediction:

Lamar Jackson over 10.5 rushing attempts (+105)

San Francisco 49ers: Deebo Samuel Anytime TD Scorer (+120)

The 49ers have a chance to cement their place as the best team in the NFL this season with this prime-time matchup. San Francisco (11-3) could also move one step closer to locking up the top seed in the NFC with a win over the Ravens (11-3).

Baltimore’s defense is one of the top units in the league, but they have not faced an offense like the 49ers. Even if the Ravens can take away RB Christian McCaffrey, they still have to contend with WR Deebo Samuel. Bovada has Samuel listed at +120 odds to score a TD in this game.

The only player with shorter odds is McCaffrey (-230). I would not be surprised if both players find the endzone on Monday. However, I think Deebo’s payout odds in this wager make him the better Week 16 props bet.

Deebo is used in both the run and pass game and has 11 total TDs this season. I believe he will get his 12th TD on Monday against Baltimore.

Prediction:

Deebo Samuel anytime TD scorer (+120)

Best Christmas NFL Props Parlay

Christmas Day NFL props are a great way to make your holiday weekend even more exciting. You can take your betting slip to the next level by combining your favorite props into a parlay.

Bovada’s parlay builder makes it super simple to create your perfect parlay. For example, here is a parlay that you can make using the player props listed above:

  • Travis Kelce anytime TD scorer (-121)
  • Saquon Barkley over 77.5 total scrimmage yards (-115)
  • Deebo Samuel anytime TD scorer (+120)
  • Parlay odds: +651

All three bets have to hit for you to win this three-leg parlay. I think that all of them will be winners. Kelce, for instance, has a history of stepping up big against the Raiders and other AFC West rivals.

Barkley also has a favorable matchup against a weak Eagles’ defense that has only gotten worse in recent weeks. Samuel and the 49ers have a  tough matchup, but very few teams have been able to slow down San Francisco this season. The payout odds for this three-leg parlay are +651 based on the current odds at Bovada.
