Will the Eagles go to the Super Bowl? Philadelphia was a questionable holding call away from winning its second Lombardi last season. Now the Eagles (10-3) are trying to avenge their loss in the Big Game by making it back to the Super Bowl this season.

The top sportsbooks are already allowing you to bet on the Super Bowl in a variety of ways. Philly is one of the top teams in the NFC, and a popular pick with football bettors to win it all this year.

Keep reading to see the latest Eagles’ Super Bowl odds. I will break down Philly’s odds and tell you whether I would bet on them to win it all this season.

Will the Eagles Go to the Super Bowl?

If the Eagles want another chance at winning a Lombardi, then they first need to win the NFC. That will be easier said than done if San Francisco is at full strength. The 49ers dismantled the Eagles in Philly earlier this season.

NFC Championship Odds

The NFC has been a top-heavy conference all season. Philly is one of the few teams that have a realistic shot at winning the conference this season. Here is how the Eagles stack up against the other top contenders in the last NFC Championship odds at Bovada:

  • San Francisco 49ers (-115)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+350)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+425)
  • Detroit Lions (+800)
  • LA Rams (+4000)

Philly has the second-best conference championship odds at +350, according to top football betting sites. However, the 49ers (-115) are still the team to beat in the NFC at this point in the season.

The Eagles did receive a gift this weekend in their hunt for back-to-back NFC titles. Dallas (+435) lost on the road to Buffalo, which clinched a playoff spot for the Eagles. Assuming the Eagles can win tonight against Seattle, that will give Philly a half-game lead in the divisional race, too.

Philly also needs to win to keep pace with San Fran. If the 49ers slip up and lose a game before the end of the year, the Eagles could regain the top seed in the conference. Having the one seed would significantly improve Philadelphia’s NFC title odds.

Eagles’ Path to the NFC Title Game

Despite splitting the season series with Dallas, the Eagles still control the path to the NFC East crown. They just need to win out, and they will win the division. The Cowboys’ loss to the Bills on Sunday gives the Eagles even more breathing room in the race for the division championship.

Winning the NFC East will guarantee a home playoff game for Philly. However, the Eagles have likely lost home-field advantage throughout the postseason and the number one seed to the 49ers.

That means that the Eagles will likely be playing on Wild Card Weekend. Having to play two playoff games to get the NFC title game certainly hurts the Eagles’ chances. However, assuming they host both games, the Eagles should be able to appear in the championship game again this year.

What Seed Will the Eagles Be in the Playoffs?

The Eagles’ seed in the NFC will have a big impact on their playoff chances. Only the top seed gets a bye, and that extra rest would certainly help Philly get healthy in time for a Super Bowl run.

Unfortunately, the Eagles lost control of the top seed with back-to-back losses to the 49ers and Cowboys. Philly needs to win out and have San Francisco drop lose a game down the stretch for the Eagles to get the top seed.

Otherwise, the Eagles will likely be the second seed in the NFC. This would position them to have potential two home playoff games, but they would have to go to San Fran for the NFC title game.

Can the Eagles Win the Super Bowl?

Here are the current Super Bowl 58 odds, courtesy of Bovada Sportsbook:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+200)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+550)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (+800)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+800)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+800)
  • Miami Dolphins (+900)

At +800, Philly is tied for the third-best odds with the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs and divisional rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. Only the Ravens (+550) and 49ers (+225) have better odds through 15 weeks of the NFL regular season.

Baltimore and San Francisco are currently positioned as the top seeds in their respective conferences. However, if the Eagles can get past the 49ers, then they should be able to go toe-to-toe with the team that comes out of the AFC.

Can Philadelphia Beat San Francisco?

Philly struggled against the Cowboys in Dallas. However, the Cowboys have just a 3-4 record on the road, including a loss in Philadelphia. If the Eagles host the Cowboys in the postseason, they should be able to beat them again.

The bigger question for the Eagles is whether they can get past the 49ers in the postseason. Philly won the matchup last season, but that was due in large part to San Fran’s QBs getting injured. The 49ers beat the Eagles 42-19 in the rematch a few weeks ago.

Barring an upset, Philly will need to get past San Fran to win the NFC this season. If they cannot beat the 49ers, then the Eagles cannot even get to the Super Bowl, let alone win it.

Who Will Represent the AFC?

Representing the NFC in the big game is not enough to be crowned Super Bowl champions. Philly would also need to beat the AFC representative. Last season, the Eagles came up short against the Chiefs, losing 38-35.

Kansas City has struggled as of late, and there is no guarantee that they return to the Big Game this year. Baltimore has the best odds in the AFC to win the Super Bowl. The Dolphins and the Bills are two of the other top contenders.

Philly has already beaten the Chiefs, Bills, and Dolphins this season. That does not guarantee they will win again in a rematch, but they at least have past success to lean on. Baltimore would be a challenge, but the Eagles would have two weeks to prepare for a Ravens defense that has been weak against the run.

Super Bowl 2024 Pick

So, will the Eagles go to the Super Bowl and win it all this season? I would not bet on them at this point for three main reasons.

First and foremost, Philly’s defense has been bad all season, and it has only gotten worse as the year has gone on. Also, Jalen Hurts is not playing well as of late, and the 49ers seem unstoppable in the NFC.

Subpar Defense

Philadelphia’s defense has been its Achilles heel all season. So far this year, the Eagles are in the bottom 10 of the league in the following categories:

  • Passing yards allowed: 3,612 yards (seventh-worst)
  • Passing TDs allowed: 29 TDs (second-worst)
  • Interceptions: 6 INTS (tied for second-fewest)
  • Passing 1st downs allowed: 179 (tied for second-most)

Philly’s running defense has been better, but most teams have focused on passing the ball against the Eagles instead of running it. If the Eagles cannot turn their passing defense around, and fast, then it will likely cost them in the playoffs.

Is Jalen Hurts Injured?

Another concern for anyone considering a futures wager on the Eagles’ Super Bowl odds is Jalen Hurts’ health. There is no denying that Hurts is the engine behind Philly’s offense. However, the Eagles QB has simply not looked his best in recent weeks.

Hurts is in jeopardy of missing Monday night’s clash with the Seahawks due to illness. However, even before this recent issue, Hurts’s play had dipped. Many pundits believe his performance has been hampered due to injury, such as the bone bruise he suffered last month.

Philly’s QB has not thrown for more than 300 yards since the team’s Week 8 win over the Commanders. Also, the team has been held to 21 or fewer points in three of its last four games. Hurts and the offense did score once in the team’s 33-13 loss in Dallas.

San Fran Is Too Good

Even if Hurts is healthy in time for the playoffs and the defense magically improves, I would still bet against the Eagles. The 49ers have simply looked too dominant as of late to pick any other team to come out of the NFC.

San Fran entered its Week 9 bye at 5-3 after losing three straight games. Since then, the 49ers have won six games in a row, and all of their wins have been by 12 or more points. That streak includes their blowout win over the Eagles in Philadelphia.

Will You Bet on the Eagles’ Latest Super Bowl Odds?

The Eagles’ Super Bowl odds took a hit after back-to-back losses to the 49ers and Cowboys. However, there is still plenty of time for Philly to turn things around and make another Super Bowl run this season.
