Thursday Night Football Player Props: Seahawks vs. Cowboys

Seattle Seahawks on the Right and the Cowboys on the Left

For the second straight week, the Thursday Night Football player props feature the Dallas Cowboys. This time, Dallas is playing Seattle, who also played on Thanksgiving. That is where the similarities stop, though.

The Cowboys dominated the Commanders on Thanksgiving, while the Seahawks were handily defeated by the 49ers. This is shaping up to be another blowout, but player props are still a profitable way to bet.

You can bet on the NFL online and wager on players for both the Cowboys and the Seahawks. Keep reading to see my favorite bets for the NFC matchup. I will tell you the best bets for both teams and give you my predictions for each wager.

Seattle Seahawks Player Props

Seattle (6-5) has lost three of its last four games, including back-to-back games. The Seahawks have another tough test this week against the Dallas Cowboys. Here are the TNF player props that I like for the Seahawks this week, with odds courtesy of Bovada Sportsbook.

Geno Smith Over 0.5 Interceptions (-145)

One of the reasons that the Seahawks have struggled this season is the play of QB Geno Smith. The journeyman QB failed to reproduce the magic of last season. Smith has 12 passing TDs and 8 INTs so far this season.

Dallas has one of the best defenses in the league, especially when it comes to forcing turnovers. For instance, DB Daron Bland broke the NFL record for pick-sixes in a season. Bland secured his fifth interception return for a TD last week against Washington.

The Cowboys’ offense can also put up a lot of points, so Seattle will need to move the ball through the air. That could be a recipe for disaster for Smith.

Bovada Sportsbook has Smith listed at -145 to have over 0.5 interceptions this week. The Cowboys’ defense has forced 12 INTs this season, tied for the fourth most in the league. I believe Smith will have at least one interception this week and would take the over in this bet.

Prediction:

Geno Smith over 0.5 interceptions (-145)

Zach Charbonnet Anytime TD Scorer (+140)

If the Seahawks want a chance at winning this game, then they need to control the clock. Unfortunately for Seattle, starting RB Kenneth Walker III could miss another game with an oblique injury. That means rookie RB Zach Charbonnet will need to shoulder the load once again.

Bovada has Charbonnet listed at +140 to score a TD in this NFL player prop bet. He has the second-best odds of any Seahawks player, behind only Walker.

If Walker does miss this game, then Charbonnet could be worth betting on at +140. He has struggled this season, though. Charbonnet is still looking for his first TD in the NFL and has just 94 yards on 29 combined carries in the last two weeks.

Charbonnet has played a bigger role in the passing game recently, though. This bet will hit with either a rushing or receiving TD, so I would take this wager.

Prediction:

Zach Charbonnet Anytime TD Scorer (+140)

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Under 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Seattle’s WR corps could be in for another tough week against a talented Cowboys’ secondary. One WR who could really struggle this week is rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN has 38 receptions for 406 yards this season, which is good production given his team situation.

Football betting sites have Smith-Njigba listed at over/under 40.5 receiving yards for this matchup. The rookie has had at least 41 receiving yards in five of Seattle’s last seven games.

Smith-Njigba had exactly 41 receiving yards last week against San Francisco, which would be just enough to cover the over in this bet. The rookie also averages just over 10 yards per reception, so he would not need a lot of touches to get to 41 or more receiving yards.

I do not think that he will be able to hit that mark again this week, though. WRs DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett should both play, which will limit the rookie’s targets.

Prediction:

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Under 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Dallas Cowboys Player Props

The other half of this TNF game is the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas enters this matchup as a 9-point favorite over the visiting Seattle Seahawks. Here are the NFL player props I like the best for Dallas this week.

Tony Pollard Over 14.5 Rush Attempts (-114)

Fifth-year RB Tony Pollard has his first shot at being the unquestioned starting RB this season. Sadly, Pollard has failed to live up to the high expectations many fans had for him.

Pollard is averaging 14.5 rushing attempts for just under 61 yards per game this season. Fittingly enough, his rush attempt total for this week is set at 14.5 attempts. He has only had 15 or more rush attempts in two of the Cowboys’ last eight games.

Despite his recent history, I do think that Dallas will give Pollard enough carries to hit the over on this bet. The Cowboys should have a big enough lead that they can lean on Pollard to help run out the clock.

Prediction:

Tony Pollard over 14.5 tush attempts (-114)

CeeDee Lamb Anytime TD Scorer (-125)

Another Cowboys star looking to bounce back is WR CeeDee Lamb. The fourth-year WR has just 10 catches for 91 yards over the last two games. Prior to this stretch. He had four straight games of at least 117 receiving yards.

Lamb has been productive in terms of scoring, even if he does not have the yards to show for it. He has scored a receiving TD in three straight games. The veteran WR also had a rushing TD in the team’s 49-17 win over the Giants in Week 10.

Bovada has Lamb listed at -125 to score a TD in this game. He is tied with teammate Tony Pollard for the best odds of any player to score a TD this week.

I believe that Lamb will find the endzone at least once this week against the Seahawks. It will likely be a receiving TD, but another rushing TD would also be enough to satisfy this anytime TD wager.

Prediction:

CeeDee Lamb anytime TD scorer (-125)

Dak Prescott Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-220)

QB Dak Prescott is also likely in line for another great performance against a middling team. Prescott has built an MVP case off of dismantling sub-.500 teams. Seattle is 6-5 and could very well end the year with a losing record.

Prescott has at least two passing TDs in five straight games heading into Thursday. Bovada has the Cowboys’ QB listed at over/under 1.5 passing TDs in this Thursday Night Football player prop.

Seattle has allowed 14 passing TDs this season, which is middle of the pack in the NFL. Prescott should have a more challenging time scoring on the Seahawks than he did against Washington. However, I still think Dak will have at least two passing TDs on TNF.

As I mentioned above, I think Lamb will get at least one TD this week. Assuming that is a receiving TD, that means Dak will need just one more passing TD to hit the over in this NFL player prop.

Dak Prescott Over 12.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Rounding out my list of the best TNF player props for this week is another bet that concerns QB Dak Prescot. This wager is for Dak’s total rushing yards against Seattle. He is listed at over/under 12.5 rushing yards for this contest.

Seattle has allowed 1,295 rushing yards this season, the 14th-most in the league. Dak also has at least one rush attempt in every game this season. He has rushed for more than 12.5 yards in six of the Cowboys’ 11 games this year.

Bovada also has Dak listed at over/under 3.5 rushing attempts in this game. He is averaging 4.4 yards per rush attempt this season, so Dak could get to 13 rushing yards even if the under in his rush attempts hits.

Dak has been running less often as of late, but he could get to 13 yards on just one rush. He had a 10-yard rush last week against the Commanders. I think he will scramble enough to rack up at least 13 yards on the ground, and I would take the over on this bet.
