Below, I’ll detail the best prop wagers available for this year’s WSOP Main Event. I will give you my predictions for each bet and tell you why it’s a good betting option.
Best World Series of Poker Prop Bets

One of the most fun bets to make for the Main Event is to try and predict what the winning hand will be. BetUS has betting odds available for all of the possible final hand combinations. Two Pair (+200) is the favorite, and a Royal Flush (+75000) has the longest odds.
Predicting the winning hand can be tricky. It has to be strong enough to beat the runner-up’s hand, but not so strong that it is unlikely to happen. The Main Event always ends in a showdown between the two remaining players, so the winner only has to beat one other hand.
The betting odds have also shifted slightly in the days leading up to the start of the Main Event. Both the 3 of a Kind (+1000) and Full House (+3500) betting options have seen their odds shorten recently. Last week they were listed at +1200 and +4000, respectively.
Two Pair is a strong hand that is also not so uncommon that it is unlikely to happen. But it is just one card away from a Full House. The difference in payout odds for the two options makes me lean toward the Full House option for this bet.

Picking the winning combination is not the only way to bet on the 2023 WSOP final hand. You can also wager on the starting hand for the winner. As any poker player can tell you, a strong starting hand is key to winning any round of poker.
There is a three-way tie for the best odds in this prop wager. Pocket Kings, Queens, and Jacks are all listed at +600 in this wager. All three hands are equally likely to appear and would put the potential winner in a very strong position.
Seven starting hands are tied for the next-best odds at +700. Of the options with that payout, I would go with either Two Aces or AK Suited.
A pair of Aces would put any player in a strong starting position. This would give them the confidence in their hand to stay in the pot and play aggressively. It would also beat any other single pair that their opponent might have.
An AK Suited starting hand would also put the player in a strong position, but they would need some help from the board. It suited, so the player would have a chance at Flush, Straight, or Royal Flush. With three strong hands as possibilities, the AK Suited would be my pick for this prop wager.

The winning hand is not the only way to wager on the 2023 WSOP Main Event. BetUS has a variety of wagers available for the winner themselves, too. For instance, you can bet on the age of the eventual Main Event winner.
For the most part, the odds of winning decrease as the age group gets older. The lone exception is that the 30-year-old players (+150) are slight favorites over the 20-year-old players (+175). Players in the 40s (+350) have the third-best odd, with players 50 years old or older (+600) coming in fourth.
In the last five years, three players in their 30s have won the WSOP Main Event. There are thousands of players in the Main Event field, though, so there are plenty of players in all age brackets.
Still, I think the recent trend can be very telling for what we can expect this year. As with many sports, players in their 30s seem to be in the prime of their careers. With that in mind, I would stick with the favorite and bet on players in their 30s for this wager.

You can also bet on where the Main Event winner will be from. The first choice you need to make for this wager is whether you believe the winner will be from the US or not.
Players from outside the US (+300) are the favorite in this wager. If you want to wager on a US-born player, then you will need to wager on a specific state. California (+500) and Texas (+500) are tied for the best odds of any specific state.
There are plenty of talented poker players that hail from outside of the US. In fact, the last four Main Event winners were all from countries other than the US. But I think that trend ends this year, and an American-born player will win the Main Event.
Picking a specific state to wager is the most difficult part of this wager. I would stick to the most populated states, such as California, Texas, New York, and Florida.
Choosing a state that produces a lot of poker players gives you more chances of getting a Mian Event winner. New York is one of the most populated states in the US, and it is my pick for this prop bet.
