Well, this is going to be a treat. I have been in the online gambling business for over two decades, and back when I started, one of the most well-known brands in the industry was TigerGaming. This company, which was primarily a poker site, was one of the largest networks for many7 years. However, over the years the industry has made it tough for companies like this one, so it is great to see that they have changed with the times and are still in business today.

Now, the site is completely different than what I remember, and that is a good thing from the point of view of having to review the offering. This way, none of my predispositions about the company come into play. I am treating this as I would any site I am seeing for the first time, and I hope that at the end of this review you will have a clear picture about how I feel about it and whether or not it is worth your time and money.

Ratings Breakdown

Overall

I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with my overall opinion of TigerGaming. A site that has undergone many a facelift over the years typically is ripe for something to have gone horribly wrong, but in the case of these guys, it seems they put the necessary care into reshaping their company. As you will read from the details of this review, you’ll find some flaws here and there, but nothing that is a dealbreaker.

Game Variety

Even though the site is using two smaller casino software vendors, they have done an excellent job of putting these in place alongside a full sportsbook and poker site. This all adds up to a great cross-vertical platform which allows you to make one deposit and play all the different games with one single wallet.

Banking

Banking is never easy, but TigerGaming’s options opened up to include Neteller and Skrill after they left the U.S. market. I’d like to see less of a push for cryptocurrency deposits given the volatility of the market, but overall I am pleased with the options that players have for both deposits and withdrawals.

Bonuses

TigerGaming gets high marks for the sheer volume of promotions they manage across all their product lines. However, the wagering requirement for the casino bonus is prohibitive, to say the least. Players should take this into account when trying to determine overall ROI.

Customer Service

I like that the site offers Live Chat, but it seems silly to only offer it to real money players. That is by no means a perk, and TigerGaming can’t be fielding that many questions from free play players. They should expand an FAQ section to take care of the standard queries from players.

User Interface

The site does seem a bit cluttered in spots, but the actual user interface of each product seems to be excellent. I never found myself searching for a button or a function, and getting around the casino lobby was very easy. The fact that there is a mobile version of the games that works very well is a plus as well.

Sportsbook

The TigerGaming sportsbook is a pretty standard “out of the box” platform, but that means that it is pretty easy to maneuver your way around to find the games on which you want to bet. The user interface is very intuitive, and this makes it very easy to get your bets in quickly and without error. All this adds up to an excellent place to find and make bets on your favorite teams or sports.

The Basics About TigerGaming

As I mentioned, this brand has been around since all the way back in 1999, well before online gambling sites were the norm. This was a wild time in the industry, with many people (myself included) trying to picture what the fledgling industry would look like in the next decade. I don’t think anyone could have imagined the ups and downs that operators would face, especially those who were focused on the U.S. market.

TigerGaming has a gaming license from Curacao, which won’t mean a whole bunch if you are having issues with the site. Ultimately, this is more of a cash grab than anything, and there are some software suppliers that require an operator to have a license from somewhere to do business. As the site is no longer taking U.S. players, this is even less important, except that it should be thinking about getting a license from somewhere like Malta to be considered more reliable.

Sportsbook

One of the many changes that TigerGaming has seen over the years is an expansion from a poker-only site to a full gaming site. This started with the introduction of sports betting to the mix. The sportsbook has a very modern look to it, which makes it very easy to read odds and find games to bet on.

The setup is similar to most sportsbooks sites – the menu of sports on the left side, the odds in the middle and the bet slip in the right-hand side of the screen. The test best I made were loaded into the betting slip very quickly, and within only a couple of clicks, I had my best placed. Now, winning them was another story altogether, but I will blame my desire to test rather than research.

TigerGaming’s Sportsbook offers all of the major sports and seems to have very competitive lines for the sports that I reviewed. Overall, I am very happy with this part of the site, especially since they have also built a nice mobile version of the browser-based games.

The Casino

After fooling around with the sportsbook, it was time to turn my attention to the casino, which is also a relatively new product for TigerGaming. Given the site no longer takes U.S. players, I am surprised they haven’t made more of an effort to secure more software vendors, but the big news here is that they finally have non-download versions of the games, which was always a knock against the site.

Software

TigerGaming is currently using two different suppliers for their games – Betsoft and Rival Gaming. Both of these companies still offer their services to U.S.-friendly operators, which TigerGaming claims they no longer support. Regardless, I have tested these games an awful lot, and I can tell you that both offer a very nice playing experience. There is no download version of the casino available at this time, but these days it is much better not to have to have a piece of software on your computer anyway.

Slots

Slots are what both Rival and Betsoft are known for and with good reason. Rival has built a great series of games call i-Slots, which capture some great storylines and graphics. Betsoft’s games are distinctive due to the 3D series of games, with graphics that feel as though they are popping off the screen. I tested a bunch of the games, but here are some of the titles you may like from the lobby:

  • 2 Million B.C.
  • 4 Seasons
  • 7th Heaven
  • 8 Lucky Charms
  • A Christmas Carol
  • After Night Falls
  • Alkemor’s Tower
  • Amigos Fiesta
  • A Night in Paris
  • Animal Wilds
  • Arrival
  • Atlantic Treasures
  • At the Copa
  • At the Movies
  • Aztec Treasure
  • Back in Time
  • Barbary Coast
  • Bess & Becky
  • Birds!
  • Black Gold
  • Blood Eternal
  • Bounty Hunters
  • Captain Cash
  • Charms & Clovers
  • Chase the Cheese
  • Codename: Jackpot
  • Crabs Go Wild
  • Demi-Gods
  • Diamond Dreams
  • Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
  • Enchanted
  • Event Horizon
  • Fa-Fa Twins
  • Fire & Steel
  • Forbidden Slot
  • Fortune Keepers
  • Frankenslot’s Monster
  • Fruity Fortune
  • Fruit Zen
  • Genie’s Fortune

Video Poker

I love video poker, and I often find myself getting lost in a test session for a casino because I spend too long investigating every option in a casino lobby. I was pleased by the number of single hand and multi-hand games that are available at TigerGaming – multi-hand games add another layer of excitement to every deal. The one thing about video poker that I love is that with just a slight change of the rules, the game strategy also changes. You are always looking for the Royal Flush (something I was not able to find in my playing time with TigerGaming).

You can try games like these at the site:

  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Bonus Poker
  • Two Ways Royal

Table Games

There are plenty of table games options available at the site as well, including a series of Live Dealer games. Live Dealer games give you the look and feel of a real casino, as there are human dealers using real cards to deal your games via live stream. This is something that will be new to many of you, but I cannot express enough how excited I am for you to try these games. This is the kind of innovation that makes me believe there is a wide open future for online casinos.

You can see all the table games and live casino games in their own tabs in the casino lobby. They include:

  • Blackjack
  • Roulette
  • American Roulette
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Craps
  • Baccarat
  • Three Card Poker

Poker

As I mentioned, when TigerGaming started, it was a poker-only site. While the poker industry has battled to stay relevant over the last decade, it is great to see this brand still in the space. Poker players will be very happy to see a full tournament schedule as well as a nice array of cash games.

The days of every poker site being jam-packed with players are long gone, but I did see many available cash games running, and the smaller tournament fields mean you have a better chance of coming out on top without having to play for 12-14 hours at a time!

Banking Options

Banking is always the toughest part of online gambling, especially for players in North America. The options for deposits and withdrawals change constantly, and now with the emergence of a very risky cryptocurrency market, you always have to be on your toes monitoring your balances.

The options for payments at TigerGaming are pretty widespread, so that’s a good sign for players. When they stopped accepting U.S. players, it became easier to find partners to work with, and that can be seen in the list of available payment methods. According to the site, you will see your withdrawal in 2-7 days, and I haven’t seen any complaints to the contrary, so I have to take them at their word.

Deposit Options

  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • ClickandBuy
  • EcoPayz
  • MasterCard
  • Neteller
  • UseMyBank
  • Visa
  • Entropay
  • UseMyFunds
  • Skrill
  • iDebit
  • Bitcoin

Withdrawal Options

  • Wire Transfer
  • Neteller
  • instaDebit
  • Entropay
  • EcoPayz
  • Skrill
  • iDebit

Bonus Promotions

Not surprisingly, a site that offers all kinds of different products will have a bunch of product-specific bonuses and promotions, so I am not going to go into all the gory details.

What I can tell you is that I appreciate a site that not only offers bonuses across different products but also ones that are attractive to all different stakes levels. Too often, sites focus on high-rollers when many players don’t have the bankroll to qualify for the offers they see.

Looking at the Casino Welcome Offer for the purposes of this review, it seems like a standard offer:

100% match offer on your first three deposits of up to $1,000 each time

What I like about this is that it is rewarding more than just your initial deposit, so you don’t have to empty the credit card the first time. The minimum deposit for this bonus is $25, meaning there is a wide range of players who can take advantage of this offer.

The catch to this bonus is the wagering requirement. It is a staggering 40x the sum of the deposit and bonus. This could make it very difficult for many players to earn the maximum bonus, but at least the site is upfront about these terms.

Mobile Compatibility

These days, more and more people are abandoning their computers for mobile devices, so a gambling site needs to accommodate those players. This had been a knock on TigerGaming for years, as their poker platform was download-only for the first decade. The company has since changed their provider and now has a full product that works for both PCs and mobile devices.

With in-play sports betting in focus these days (apparently people can’t just wait for three hours for a game to complete to find out if they won a bet, they have to bet on every play during the action!), having a strong mobile sports betting product is also critical to the success of the company. I tested the mobile sports betting product rigorously during the action of an NFL game and found the site to be robust and very responsive, not giving me any slowdown whatsoever.

Customer Service

You can reach the site 24 hours a day via email, and if you have created an account and made a deposit, then you get access to the Live Chat agents that give you a real-time response. There is a chatbot that pops up during the registration pages that is a bit of a teaser as it then disappears until you make your deposit.

Summary

Having given this review a clean slate without tying it to the legacy of TigerGaming, I was very impressed with what I found. Yes, some parts of the site need a little polish, but then again most of them do these days.

It is ambitious to add a full sweet of sports, casino, financials, and poker to one operation, as it requires multiple skill sets to manage it all. TigerGaming seems to have done this effectively, and it has set itself up to be a popular spot for both PC and mobile gambling for years to come.

Verdict

If you are looking for a one-stop shop where you can play all your favorite games, bet on sports and try your hand at some Texas Hold’em, then this is the site for you. If you want something a little more vertical-specific, there are lots of other sites that I have reviewed that may be better for you. For me, I am happy with what I found here, and I am very happy to recommend TigerGaming to anyone from novice online gamblers to the highest roller.
